20 YEARS OF NEW ORDER + MIX YOUR OWN CRYSTAL
"We've got some interesting stuff coming up soon at Reprise. In a few weeks
we're sponsoring a remix contest with Sonic Foundry. You'll be able to
download the raw parts (as WAV files) of "Crystal" and use Sonic Foundry's
ACID to remix "Crystal", or you can use your own software, Pro Tools, etc.
If you're a producer, remixer or DJ, this is really a great opportunity.
Reprise is listening to *all* the remixes submitted, and it's quite
possible that the best remix could potentially get released. I strongly
suggest entering to any producers out there!
In addition, to help out commerical retailers and radio stations
re-discover New Order, there is an exclusive US promo-only compilation that
was just pressed this week called "20 Years of New Order." It contains 18
tracks, including 3 Joy Division songs. More info on the compilation will
be available on NewOrderweb.
