Hooking Peter into a chart bid

LOOKS like New Order bass player Peter Hook might have something of a surprise chart hit on his hands.

After some intense sessions in the recording studio, Salford band Hanky Park are finally putting the wheels in motion to release their own version of the Joy Division anthem, Love Will Tear Us Apart.

And, while band frontman James Davenport tells me Hook has given his blessing for the cover of his old band's tune, the bass legend might not have been fully aware of what part he was going to play in the single's release.
