MORE DETAILS REGARDING « TRUE FAITH: A TRIBUTE TO NEW ORDER »
David Lin, from Synthphony Records, has answered a few of our questions regarding the making, the release and the availability of True Faith: a tribute to newOrder that was released in the United States of America last December 19th.
Here are the questions, followed by David's answers, in bold:
How did you select the bands for this tribute album?
All the bands involved were influenced by New Order and how the bands were chosen is because of their great talents. These bands are quite popular in the synthpop scene.
How much time did it take to come out with this CD from the moment you decided to do it?
It took like 3-4 months to get everything together. Since the bands are from all over the world. The actual manufacturering of the cd itself took 2 weeks.
Also, many questions we've been asked by site members: Is it available in stores? If so, is it only in the United States, or also in Canada?
Besides being available online, it is available in specialty stores that carries synthpop music all over the world.
Is it available in Europe yet? Will it be? Or is it available only by ordering it from the Synthphony website?
It should be available in Europe soon. We have distribution there as well. But it would be cheaper to order it directly from Synthphony Records' website.
Also, how big is Synthphony is? Do you have many bands signed? Which direction do you want to take with this label?
We are a small indies label in NYC. We have quite a lineup as you can see on our homepage, www.synthphonyrecords.com. Our goal is to bring synthpop music to the masses!!! :-)
