NEW ORDER CONFIRMED FOR O2 MUSIC WIRELESS FESTIVAL 2005
The four day O2 Music Wireless Festival 2005, taking place in Hyde Park, London this summer and featuring New Order, Keane, Kasabian and Basement Jaxx.
The brand new festival was announced today (March 8) during a press conference at the Islington Academy just hours before Keane took the stage to play their exclusive Xfm Jameson Live Session in front of Xfm competition winners.
The four day event will take place in two parts Friday June 24 / Saturday June 25 and Wednesday June 29 / Thursday June 30, and take place in Hyde Park in London - the first time a festival themed event will have taken place there.
The legendary New Order will kick off the event in spectacular style on the first Friday (June 24) followed by Basement Jaxx who headline the Saturday night party (June 25). Then two of the UK’s biggest new bands Keane and Kasabian will take to the main stage on Wednesday June 29 and Thursday 30 June respectively.
All tickets can be purchased through O2 Active on O2 handsets and O2 customers can also benefit from purchasing tickets from March 8 2005 four days before they go on sale to the general public by texting the word FESTIVAL to an O2 shortcode 81145.

Gates for the event will open at 2pm, except on June 25 when they open at 12pm and 30,000 punters are expected to attended each day of the event.
