My IRL pants are going crazy.........

This weekend is the season finale for the IRL at Texas Motor Speedway. 4 or 5 different drivers have a chance to win the championship based on the results of this race.

Also, I got my "Power By Cosworth" hat in the post yesterday from across the pond. My sole purpose for buying this cap is to wear it around Chevrolet guys. Their own motor sucked so bad that, in the middle of this season, they went to *gasp* FORD (who owns Cosworth) for help. The "Chevy" powered cars are now dominating.......

That was the original concept. However, CART and IRL have almost changed places in respect to what they were designed to be.

CART is now basically Formula Ford on steriods and IRL now has multiple engine and chassis suppliers. The engines are still sealed "rentals" but at least there are more marques to cheer for.

I'm a huge fan of the Blue Oval, but seeing CART with just one engine supplier (even if it is FORD Cosworth) is just not that interesting.

In addition, it's being rumored that IRL may even do a street circuit or two next season.
