All one-hit wonders qualify....
And well, Community indeed, I have to agree with that, since most artists are beginning in the music world, give them some time and some original compositions... ![]()

Rap artists make good songs? Well, Fuck the Police by NWA is a classic.
far behind by candlebox, another song from the same album with the lyrics "dont you push your drugs in my face or ill punch you in your face, fuck you..." the promise by when in rome, a murder of one by counting crows. there's ton more but im too tired to think right now.
Dance Hall Days by Wank Chunks,or was it Wang Chung? either way i bought their album on the strength of that song-first & last time that happened.
Did they have a song called ' everybody Wang Chung tonight ', or it was chorus ?
Whats a wang chung ?

tasty picks.
i'm also a fan of "cruel summer" - bananarama
I think the White Stripes are one of the most overrated bands around right now but Seven Nation Army's a kick-ass song.

i always preferred 'i heard a rumour.'
'pure shores' -- all saints.
Driving around today, I heard that No Doubt song Underneath It All, which sounded rather nice, as I'm quite put off by her vocal tones, though the line "you used up all your coupons and all you've got left is me" is one of the dumbest things I can recall in a hit song ![]()
Fave Bananarama song : Robert De Niro's Waiting.

Good songs: Crap Bands
'Invisible Touch'- Genesis 'Sugar Mice'- Marillion 'Push The Feeling On'- The Nightcrawlers 'Golden Brown'- The Stranglers 'Big Bang'- Revenge
Theres a ton more, but, I just cant be arsed....
Pure Shores: good call.
What's wrong with Jimmy Cliff though? I'll pick "Wonderwall" by Oasis as I quite like that but I hate them generally. Also "My Insatiable One" by Suede and "Favourite Game" by the Cardigans.
