Being a jammy sort of person, i have just last two tickets to Snow Patrol in my students union.

Any good? As a person who resfuses to listen to any radio station other than five live, i have yet to hear this top five hit, and only got the tickets because my mate said they were a good live band.

Only a tenner as well :)

I will also take this time to tell everyone i got a first my my january modules. Fantastic. :D

Have to say that "Final Straw" is one of the best album's I've heard for a long time. I know True Blue will crucify me for this, but current single "Run" isn't even the best track on it. Completely missed their first two albums, so am now catching up.

Saw them supporting Grandaddy before Christmas and they were truly excellent. Have tickets for their Portsmouth show, which has been moved to a bigger venue such was the demand.

With that in mind, check ebay because tickets for this tour are going for silly money. You might decide you don't want to keep them...

Crucify...?!

I've never said that "Run" was the best track on the album (just that it was too good to be chopped up for a single - like Coldplay's "The Scientist").

I wondered why the promotion for SP had only gone mad now then I noticed that "Run" is released through Polydor/Fiction (rather than Jeepster)...!?!!

I was hoping that "Tiny Little Fractures" (or "Dreams Never End 2003") might be the next single but I've been advised it's going to be "Chocolate" - we shall see!

There isn't a bad track on "Final Straw" - it's one of those albums that is perfectly paced (I like that phrase!).

As for the first two albums, "Songs For Polarbears" is good but I still can't believe how "When It's All Over We Still Have To Clear Up" passed me by the first time round! One of the singles off that, "One Night Is Not Enough", is a corker!!

Anyway, I still think they sound more like The Wedding Present than anything else (the new Coldplay - pah!) so it might be time for Gedge to give Cinerama a bit more of a push...!!!

Chris :)
