I got the Longview album last summer on the strength of people going on about them, its rather disappointing i thought. And as for Keane,likewise-their nothing special.
& i lost all respect for TFF when they re-released Tears Roll Down to cash in on someone elses success.![]()

MC Buzz B, Fookin ell, top tunes , I played the terrorist in the first video for ' How sleep the Brave ', well I was mainly the cameraman initialy but the thespian did'nt turn up so I was deemed to look the part, he shoulda been massive ; and Megatop Phoenix one of Jones'ys finest, me and Our kid did a coupla tours with 'em , first one and the third .... I'll go before I bore everyone, I'd take Radiohead out and put Strummer in meself , but we've got very similar tastes mate.

I thought Joe Dalton's usual saying was : "I hate Lucky Luke, i hate Lucky Luke" (in a deep red face of course
).
I suppose I had better add in my tuppence
Durutti Column Air (just the 1st 2) blur love electronic PSB Depeche Mode rjd2 mbv kraftwerk st germain Velvet underground primal scream talking heads many more
I used to like loads of different bands (mainly shite like the doors / mondays/ roses)then about 3 years ago i got into new order and have just been listening to no/jd since.
Its actually crap , cause i thought id move on (you know - like a band for a few months and then like something new), but i just listen to closer if im moody / technique if im heading out / get ready on the bus to college. I think new order are great (obviously), but would sure as hook like to move on and get some more diverse musical intrests. :(

Tears Roll Down was re-issued by the record company who own the back catalogue, the band have/had no say in it. Same for the DVD.
Originally posted by Major Tarantino Keane - nothing special? You obviously have no ears.
One or two good tunes doesnt make a good band, they are a two a penny group-Keane,Snow Patrol,Longview etc they all come from the "we got picked up by big labels cos they wanted the next Coldplay" genre. Coldplay who everyone says are shite!.
I do have ears, they listen to the music-not what the rest of the sheep are sayin. No offence mate, but i dont think theyre anything special-theyll all sell a few albums then turn into Travis.
Oh,before i forget-i know Snow Patrol arent a new band.
I respect your opinion though.:)

JD/NO and all its spinoffs Echo and the B-men U2 (only Boy and Acthung Baby) RHCP Smashing Pumpkins the Cocteau Twins; I like almost everything from them except for their album Garlands. I've bound to have forgotten many more bands that I like, but my fingers are getting tired, so I'll stop typing now

I dunno...anyone that includes the Birthday Party on their 'likes' list has got to have great musical taste...or were you suggesting that the band Therapy? should have been included as well, Mike?

CVB!!! Nice one, really great live, never knew what to expect from them in their early days, I still love their records dearly. Do you have their cover album of Tusk? I don't, just wanna know if it's up to snuff.
Okay, I once worked concessions at a Grateful Dead show at Autzen in 94, cause Cracker opened for 'em. They got a soundcheck, nice of the Dead, and I got to hear them do a lovely version of Sweethearts. The Dead crowd was suitably freaky, of course
but loved what they were hearing.
