just spent 3 days in prague. a wonderful city and a great trip made very entertaining by the 1000s of celtic fans in the city. on wednesday morning we turned up at east mids for flight to prague and found lots of celtic fans at the airport..i had totally forgot they were playing teplice..i didnt even know teplice was in the czech republic. got chatting to a few of the fans on the plane which wasnt to difficult as easy jet orange was turned into green and white. most of the fans got a train to teplice from prague..(about 40kms )..and as the game kicked off at 6pm they headed back into the city for a night or two on the fantastically cheap lager..( maximum 80p per pint ). much to my wifes horror we headed back to our hotel on the wednesday night and found about 20 odd celtic fans in good voice at the bar..they were all staying at our hotel. they were a great bunch and caused no hassle..i wouldnt of liked to clean their rooms though !! most of these flew back on thursday..but we still bumped into loads of fans around prague on friday.
a great place for a break but go in the summer...its the coldest place i have ever been to..( it dropped to -11 at night )
