London Clubs?

Hi All,

I'm about to head over to London and was wondering if I could get a little advice.

When I went over to London for the Finsbury show, I had a wonderful time meeing up with folks from NOOL and Ceremony. What a great time!

The night before the concert, we met in a pub in Trafalgar Sq. and then went to a club afterward...I think it was called the Crossroads ?? Or something like that. It was fun.

Does that club still exist? If so, where is it again? Are there other clubs that could be recommended for the chance to hear NewOrder and other brilliant BritPop? I'll be in London first week of July.

Pretty sure the club is just called The Cross (in Charring Cross). You could try blagging your way into the Met Bar though-i got in once,very good. Other than that just trawl the East End pubs then go for a kebab!

The pub we were in was the Chandos by Trafalgar Square. Pretty sure the club you went to after, Deron, was the Limelight at Cambridge Circus. Someone more sober could probably confirm.

The Cross is actually up York Way, past Kings X, Steve. Not entirely convinced they'd let a load of p1ssed-up NOOLers in there on a Saturday night! ;)

I've got both places located on a map, and yep, looks like it was the Limelight. Maybe the night was called "crossroads" or something. Or maybe I was just too drunk to recall. It was just a good stumble from the Chandos which I do remember well.

Anyway, I'll stop by to see if it't the place I knew and loved. heh. Otherwise I'll just take up Steve's advice.
