Quick synopsis, in case you don't feel like clicking...ChampionsWorld, the group that have brought us two summers of quality football, are talking to Celtic and the huns about playing a match here in the States next summer!!!

Shuglet, would that get you back to the States?!?!?!?!

Of course, watch, it will be scheduled for the same day as New Order's next gig at Finsbury!!!

If it was gonna be any kind of a contest I might raise an eyebrow. But I don't see the evil empire mounting any great challenge in the forseeable future.

You've also got to bear in mind that while Celtic can command a massive support in the States, Australia, Canada etc Rangers fanbase is pretty much restricted to the West of Scotland, a section of the Northern Irish community, and other foolish supporters from Scotland who ignore their local clubs for reasons I can't be arsed getting into. A Celtic v Rangers game in the States wouldn't be as big a draw as any of the dates arranged on this summer's tour which are genuinely exciting.

I was watching a re-run of "Miami Uncovered" the other night on Sky One and they did a feature on a Rangers tour of Florida (summer '99 I think). They had footage of Rangers playing a Mexican outfit (can't remember who) and there was no more than 300 huns in this massive stadium. Compare that with the turnout at Celtic's dates last year....

I can understand what G-Man is saying, but it'd be fookin great to see Celtic gub the Forces of Ultimate darkness over in America. Totally agree about the fanbase though - the Huns would probably get a couple of thousand max over in the states, you need a bigger share of their fans for an "atmosphere" Mind, even only a couple of thousand of them bastards could make a right mess of any stadium/supporter.

It would be great for you over there though Brother Jeff - apparently some American guy has just done a book about football rivalries around the world. Celtic v Rangers is described as 90 minutes of hatred and vile. Aye:D
