For his birthday, little Patrick told his father he wanted a new bicycle. His father said "Son, we'd get it for you, but we've got an $80,000 mortgage, and your mother just lost her job. There's no way we can afford it."
The next day, as little Patrick was walking out the door with a bag full of his things, his father asked him where he was going. Little Patrick replied, "Last night, I was walking by your room, and I heard you say you were pulling out, and mom said 'wait, I'm coming too,' and I'll be damned if I'm staying here by myself with an $80,000 mortgage and no bike."
