Huckabees

Saw this yesterday and still don't exactly know what I think of it. I mostly liked it, but I thought some of the character development late in the game slowed things down quite a bit. All the existential talk was fun (I've sat through "My Dinner With Andre" twice, for god's sake), especially when the nihilistic French philosopher woman came over and started teaching our young heroes. Some of the movie seemed a bit too random and a few bits dragged on and on. Oh, and that image of Jason Schwartzman suckling at Jude Law's teat isn't going to leave me for a long time.

Umm...anyway...worth seeing...I think. Now that I think about it more, I probably liked the movie more than I first thought. It'll probably have to grow on me.

Oh...that reminds me....where's my ointment?

I watch everything Jude Law shows up in. He is a very talented actor. It's a pleasure to see his play. But I haven't seen this movie yet, because I never go to cinemas - previews of different movies just vex me, plus the constant sound of chewing and drinking in the hall makes it no better...
