Right then, we've had the Pishion (oops, Mission) given an earnest appraisal on these very pages. So how about giving it up/down/sidewayz-uh for the Blisters of Percy, Tinshill's novelty act with a St.Pauli splinter cell?
I didn't want to like the Sisters when I first became aware of their existence. Goths, painted faces, how fookin' stupid. Pretentious wank. And as for the band, just one question. Why? Then I heard Alice, and liked the sleeve. Went out and bought Anaconda and Adrenochrome too, liked the sleeves. Drawn in by painted snakeskin on black canvas. Started getting bootlegs, started going to see/peer through dry ice at them. 84 and early 85 were great times. Then it all went tits up and I only bothered with This Corrosion a couple of years later because of the studio take on Emma at long last. Never been back in terms of appreciation, though I did buy the records and have seen them a few more times. When the shades came off, the light didn't come back on for me. I suppose it didn't help with Eldritch being a bigger prat than most...
