After many years in the game, one realises that there comes a point when the end of the road is going to be reached. Mr Eriksson has apparently decided with his selection for the Friendly International against Holland (and subsequent squad alterations) this week that this particular end of the road has now been reached for me. I am fully aware that at 38 I probably do not have much of a future in International Football, so it is without further ado that I hereby formally announce my retirement from International Football. I wish the squad and management well in their quest to lift the World Cup in 2006.

Never mind.
If Liverpool carry on getting so many injuries you might get a game there. Any free tickets going then?
Bugger off Tim, theres's a defending crisis and the mans desperate. Phil Neville is about to be called back into the squad. There's still hope.
