so let me preface this with the following things.

it was my first trip to the UK, i did travel on my own and i had a wonderful time; with the exception of the poor mentally ill woman that followed me around pendeen while i was trying to wait for a bus, talking to me with her tongue uncontrollably hanging out of her mouth and the scot who shot me a mighty dirty look on the trail - everyone and everything was just brilliant.

i didn't bring my digital camera, just my trusty 20 yr old nikon 35mm; which may turn out to have been a poor decision on my part.

i have 15 rolls of film to get developed that covers the 2 weeks i was there and have only developed one roll.

having not labeled them as i completed each roll, the first roll i developed was DAY 3 - so Day 1 and Day 2, etc.. will all appear whenever chance has me select them out of the pile.

also, i'm using an online film developer and so it takes a couple days for the film to get there and to exist for me to post.

the first picture is a terrible picture of me in a half sit, i'd set the timer and the camera went off before i was in the full sit; and, moreover, my face is distorted with the poor quality so i look odd. i have a dull ache in my stomach that this will not be the only time this happened.

also many of the pictures were to capture things that i wanted to show my friends in the US; so for example a picture of a tea service or a serving of fish and chips or a bus is not a thrill to anyone in the UK but will bear out to be interesting to someone in the US.

i've elected to use shutterfly to show this first roll; but i'm not too happy with it because the slideshow feature seems to freak out and skip pictures. so if you do decide to view the pictures (and i hope you do) use the 'next' button and not the slideshow feature. plus my witty text in the text below the pictures has been cut off. argh.

this first roll is only 24 pictures.

UK trip-Day 3

i am also working on a blog here with more details of the trip for those who have access.
