I don't know if I should laugh or cry... They seem to have chosen Daniel Craig as the new Bond.

I was hoping for Michael Moore.

Isn't DC a bit short?!

He will become the first James Blonde  . Perhaps next week it's another chosen one. I'd have preferred Dougray Scott or Clive Owen.

Not that you think I made that up by myself...

I think Daniel Craig is a good choice. Ok,so he's blonde, but 007 has become a parody of itself now anyway and needs a kick up the arse! He was good in Layer Cake, and i think he'll bring something new to the franchise.

They need to make it more grounded-invisible Astin Martin for fucks sake?-let him take a kicking, give him a normal car.

The only other person i could see doing it justice would be Gerald Butler, but i think Craig would be the better of the two.

Its down to one of these two.

At last everyone is better than Timothy Dalton  .

Dammit, I knew the producers would ignore my headshot :banghead:

Never heard of the guy (which could be a good thing, or he could be the new George Lazenby). I thought Colin Firth might make an interesting choice, but I'm not in charge of the Bond franchise. Maybe that's a good thing...

George Lazenby was cushty.

but because he was (still is) an Aussie, er...

He is also in the first "Tomb Raider" movie if I remember right.

And I saw him in a very good TV-Movie based on a novel called "The Ice House" (1998).

Six foot on the mark.

But I didn't know I was in the running.

Probably need to shave my goatee and lose the accent but if George Lazenby can do it...

Lazenby was just a bad actor.

An Aussie could nail the role, there were three in the running last I heard.

Daniel Craig doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. Loved Layer Cake but I'm not sold on it.

The idea of Casino Royale is to re-create the franchise with a Bond aged in his late 20's learning the trade. Craig looks too gruff and doesn't have the hair.

Perhaps a wig will do :evil4: .

Its offically Daniel Craig. He arrived at a press conference in a speed boat, from the Thames in London this morning. A good choice i think.

Oh please... You all know Peter Stormare... He's one of the "Boy I've seen that guy somewhere before".

(Take e.g. "Fargo" or "Armageddon")

Oops, Rian you were faster in defending your homeboys...

I liked Skarsgards performance in "The Glass House"

I was rooting for Johnny Vegas. With the ITV Digital Monkey playing the chief villain.

I wonder why nobody in Hollywood had the idea yet to do a movie with all James Bond actors together :D

George Lazenby has a guest role as James Bond in the Man from U.N.C.L.E.-revival-movie "Thunderball". (I'm a big MFU-fan  )

The Daily Mirror are Hitting into mr Craig already calling him James Bland....oh dear, they're not fans then.

Can't say i'm that overwhelmed by the choice either but as i've never seen him in anything maybe thats why,

As long As Dame Judi's in it or even better they could get Patrick Stewart in as something, maybe S? Or maybe thats pushing it a bit too far.

No, you can't have a blond Bond! Come on now! I think they should make him dye it or give him a wig or something.

Why didn't they ask Patrick to do the Bond? :evil4:

Who is this guy ? HE'S UGLY !

Bond's not supposed to be ugly!!! He's a womanizer... and this guy just can't be one!

I really wish they had picked Colin Firth or Jude Law. They would have been more credible in that role, I think.

Ah, well... I'll give the guy a chance anyway.
