I really like always on my mond too, and all of 'art' disc of popart.

don't mind most of that discography album. don't care too much about their later work.

Too much to choose from. I love madly dozens of PSB tunes. I consider them the second profilic band after the Beatles melody-wise. BUT something keeps me away from either PSB websites or PSB forums... They're way too perfect or something. It's like I'll never visit a Beatles or Beach Boys website, it's boring.

I think A Different Point of View and One In A Million are underrated classics off of VERY as well!

Really tough, they've done so many great tracks... and they seem to be able to have such a wide range

And to answer the question about Battleship Potemkin - not sure yet, only got it on Friday and have played it about 4 times. Early indications are that it's very impressive.

I think the music itself is beautiful, and it is in no way pop or mainstream. You should probably try and get the film and watch it alongside the soundtrack. Pure beauty brought out.

Did Battleship Potemkin the film get shown around the country? I thought if any place might show it in Manchester,it would be the Cornerhouse.But I've seen no listings for it.

1. King's Cross (one that's almost guaranteed a permanent place in a PSB top 3 for me)

King's Cross is definitely one of their best tracks!!

I couldn't believe how good 'Disco 3' was and I found it by accident... the promotion for that, if there was any, completely passed me by!

It's a mixture of classical and ambient techno (for want of a better description). Recommend it. Also buy their Back to Mine - I rate that even higher than New Order's.

I probably buy back to mine first; not got PSB's... bit pricey as it's a double disc, but hopefully it'll turn cheaper soon...

btw, PSB DID have four more performances of BP in Germany, September 2005. And apparently, unlike in Trafalgar, it nearly caused riots in Deutschland.

Yes. That's at least what I read in NME's reviews about it. I guess former East Germany understood "ideology" behind that movie+music better (and more literally) than people who showed up in Trafalgar. But I also think it could be for the fact that in Trafalgar there were many people who didn't have a clue what PSB were all about, (with all respect to them, btw!) My guess is that BP is a very fragile theme and directly affects people who have empirical knowledge of the notion of revolution. On the other hand, as the movie is ideologic and, thus, relates to everyone (or, vice versa, everyone can relate to it), it gives an underlined make-up to/for the core of human nature....

Chris's Disc is cracking (very reminiscent of BeMusic's Cool As Ice discs), Neil's is a bit to orchestral for my liking...
