Sorry. I do not buy singles. They are almost as expensive as albums... And albums are usually filled with two or three singles and a lot of useless songs, oftently weaker than a b-side... and b-sides do not exist anymore cause singles are full of even more useless remixes of the single...

:teach:

If X equals the number of singles released in 2005, I'd rate The Darkness's "One Way Ticket to Hell...and Back" at No. X + 1.

lookin at all your entries, its obviously been a fuckin terrible year for singles. (evil/interpol excluded)

Even worse than Charlotte Church, the new Sugababes song or the new Pussycat Dolls song!?

I disagree, I think this year has been really good for new music.

I agree with the man who disagrees! Although there has been a fair amount of shite this year, such as Towers of London, Magic Shitbags, and more from the D*rkness and Razorshite.

This thread surely doesn't deserve to die just yet, especiacially as it is now the emd of 2005. Some people only managed half of the suggested figure of 20. So I'm gonna make up for it by doing 10 extra. In very rough 1-30 order:

Editors: Bulletts N/o: WFTSC The Kills: The Good Ones (Tiga & Backstage sluts mixes deserve special mention) Joseph Arthur: Even Tho Tom Vek: Green Lights (esp. Digitalism remix) Hal: Play the Hits N/O : Krafty The Killers: Spomebody told me u2 City of blinding lights White Stripes: My Doorbell The Futureheads: Hounds of Love Doves: Black & White town Kaiser Chiefs: oh my God Arcade Fire: Power Out The Bravery: an honest mistake !!! (chk chk chk): Take Ecstacy with me Sarah Vaughan/ Adam Freeland: Fever Hard Fi: Tied up too tight Sebastien Tellier: La Ritournelle Kubb: Wicked Soul Tiefschwarz: Isst Maximo Park:Going Missing (surely catchier than "Apply...") Go Team: Bottle Rocket Goldfrapp: number 1 The National: Abel Twin Freaks (P Mccartney & freelance Hellraiser): Really Love You Xpress 2/ Kurt Wagner: Give it Razorlight: Somewhere Else SCAM: Put your hands up/ Acid love (double A side) Gorillaz: Dare Chemical Bros: The Boxer

Well maybe that's 31 but there was just a wealh of great singles in 2005. I'm shocked that some people don't agree, maybe it comes from hearin James Cunt too much on the radio...
