Any big plans to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of something that shouldn't have happened?

I think Dateline is going to air some of that bastard who shot him (I refuse to state his name, giving him the fame he wants) prison tapes talking about "what he felt" in doing it. Classy, real classy :nonono:

I realize this will be sacreligious to say, but...themesong that it is, "Imagine" isn't really that good a song, or at least not one of his best. Sorry, but I prefer "Instant Karma" or "(Just Like) Starting Over" :thumb:

Anyway, I've been reading a massive new biography of the Beatles for a week so I'm kinda on a Beatles/Lennon kick right about now. Not sure if I will mark the occasion with anything more than a song or two, but it's an important date to remember.

More important anniversaries this year IMHO:

John Bonham (25 years)

Bon Scott (25 years)

Ian

Dimebag Darrell (1 year)

they aired the interview last week.

the first thing i ever remember seeing on television occurred during a commercial break of some show my parents and i were watching (can't remember what it was). the local newscasters in denver came on and announced that john lennon had been shot and was dead. i remember my father saying 'oh, no!' i asked him who this man was and he said john lennon was a famous singer. i remember the news showing people gathering in front of the dakota and crying (although this might have been the next night). although i didn't know who lennon was (i was only 6) i knew something very important had just happened.
