Prime and News, LOL
Bloody odd premise for a show tho aint it? Especially a drama.
Anyway, i thought this might have beena thread about actual life on actual mars...kinda dissappointed now.
maya, you are an alien, Chris only needs to apologize for not posting a cuter one.

I liked it.It was a bit annoying at first, but it could be good fun for all those starved of watching re-runs of The Sweeney. And it's good how he keeps up with the present through his therapist talking to him in his coma.
It was alright.Ish.Don'y know if i'll bother watching the whole series.
There's something about John Simm's acting that doesn't convince me at times. He's alright but...
I enjoyed it - though you could see he was dying to say "I bought my first New Order record here" when they went to 'Vinyl Heaven' instead of "I bought my first Gary Numan record here".
The car was very Sweeney-esque, and he managed to get a "Guv!" in there. Shame the WPC looked more like a stripper-gram than an officer of the law!
Quite enjoyed it, and will definitely watch the next one. Have to admit I was a bit sceptical when I read the synopsis, but having seen it now it worked well.
Another enjoyed here.
Generally speaking, I follow most police dramas (aside from dull housewifey ones like Midsomer Murders and Morse) so this was right up my street. I thought it was a bit odd Simm's character was a DCI (in 2006) as he's a bit young! Mind you, they can get fast track promotions these days can't they.
It'll be interesting to see what the next episode'll be about, obviously a bit of corruption (it's a facking fit up etc.) Strange premise for a series yes but it's infinitely better than the other dross BBC1 could be putting on like My Hero or Strictly Come Dancing ![]()
its all a dream and he'll wake up in the last episode of the second series.

great office they had though. all that ciggie smoke. see him drippin his butty on the evidence. mmmmm!!!
Just had a look on Digital Spy, already the "I think you'll find that the Cortina 2000E wasn't available in 1973" and the "the fools - the TV wouldn't have come on that quick, the valves needed to warm up first" bollocks has started. Whatever happened to just watching a program and being entertained...
Custard creams, Garibaldis, and pink wafers! ![]()
Not convinced by JS though. Face you want to slap, and boy can that lad overact. Nice idea though, generally, will defo watch again.
very watchable. Must have been filmed in North Manchester, no need to dress the set to look like 1973 ![]()
considering the other shit on at the moment I'll be watching again.
Will he get back with Maya at the end?
THought it was v good meself.
then switched over to the political satire show on bbc2 after. top nights viewing ![]()
was wondering when all the geeks would come out with their comments on such & such not being available.

The only geeky thing I spotted was that he was born in 1969 yet his first piece of vinyl was Gary Numan's "Cars"
Bit fcuking late getting into music, wasn't he?! He should've had some ABBA and Slade under his belt by the age of 6 at the very least.
yeah top notch stuff from JS.
the other guy he was in "Making Out" a tv program from the early 90's, based in a MCR factory wasnt he?
am i right or am i wright
and of course we all know who done the music for that production!

too right
Even though at one stage you see him go round a roundabout with a sign to "Tameside Leisure Centre".....you can run but you can't Hyde!

I was expecting Joy Division!
Thoroughly enjoyed it, the first thing I would have looked for would have been a Faces concert :D
we've got JS (and glenister) in the building next week. I'll probably be taking some snappy snaps of them. is there anything of value or interest I should run by the fake bernard? a question worth asking rather than a critique of his acting style.
and for the record: man cannot live by chocolate bar alone
Cruella Deville wrote: Hey what happened to Maya??
She'll probably come back in the very last episode.
John Simm was rushing around in a pair of tight shorts in tonight's episode ,Maya.
