City 3 United 1

Goals from Trevor Sinclair and Darius Vassell gave City a thoroughly well deserved 2-0 half time lead. Ronaldo was shown a red card on 66 minutes and it looked game over for United until Van Nistelrooy threw them a lifeline with a well taken goal on 75 mins. United pressed for the equaliser but always looked vunerable to the counter attack and insult was added to injury when the killer third goal duly arrived in added on time with a sweetly struck left foot shot from scouser Robbie Fowler.

What can I say? It should've been 11 or 12, that's as much of a compliment as you'll get from me today...;)

Actually, I came down with a cold, so I didn't go see the Reds/Spurs match this morning, and have been on the couch all day. Started with the Manchester derby, as well as the aforementioned demoliton of punchless Boro......I don't feel any better now, truth be told :evil4: j/k it was a great display to see at any rate, enjoy it :thumb:

I actually thought he was alright. He did everything he had to do. Only problem was he's fucking TINY! Silvestre had a mare, so it was him who should have gone off at half-time. He was culpable for both goals.

What would you know about football, full stop?! You lot only follow AFC United (on the side) cos they're steamrollering every team in the Manchester League Division XI or whatever. The second you lot lose at anything you switch allegiances. No fucking staying power, you lot. Glory-fucking-hunters, every last one of you. And you know it.

Ferarri fans, they even dress in red just the same. My wee sister who never missed a GP for 6 years while chin boy was winning, barely seen one last year, cos he was nowhere.

But surely an actual Mancunian can be excused the label in the case of Utd?

I didnt think it was possible for Silvestre and Ferdinand - two defenders with big reputations - to look so clueless on such a regular basis. United need someone who isnt a big girls blouse - maybe this new Serbian will help.

Don't want to start owt here, Al, just a few facts from my own perspective. I was born in 1970. MUFC fan 9 months before. Switch allegiances? I could no more do it than you could. Been through shite, been through unreal success, could be that the shite's back. Shite happens. I considered walking away & going to Bury but didn't have the balls to do it. I admire the courage of those that did. I want to rant on but I'm too pissed & too tired to do so...

I honestly dont understand why it is such news if Utd lose.

We arent that good at moment, no shock that Citeh beat us.

We had our day in the sun, time to get back to basics now and rebuild.

Can we take the piss out of someone else now? I guess not  :)

Looks like it is going to be a Blue Monday for all the reds at work tomorrow! According to Ferguson, the City of Manchester Stadium is not intimidating - well he and his band of 'also-rans' seemed pretty imtimidated to me. Cant wait for him to be rapped by the FA for his childish rants & threats to the ref. Is Rooney going to be made to cough up for the door he damaged? Blue Moon Rising - the reds can win what cups they want, so long as we keep winning the derbies. CITY the number one team in Manchester.

nope. i'm fucked with names. one of them was tall and had a huge ponytail...like a horses tail. one of them looked like he'd been stabbed or slit with a knife around his top lip. one was a fat bald bloke in his 60's. some of them are banned, so they had to go and watch game on Arab channel.

tickets were going for £300. I got a ton and went down to another pub to watch it. i was shittin it because i thought i wouldn't get my fan card back, but the deal was set up by ******* who basically touts tickets every week. so it was all pre-arranged before the game. if i'd have held on longer, i'd have got more money as kick-off approached. Who cares. £100 is still good for a Spurs game. and i got my fan card back yesterday anyway.

might get some stick at the next match, for letting a Spurs fan in my seat. good job they didn't score. another Cleanie for Reina and the Reds. the Rafalution continues on...

doubtful Bonzy. just checked the fixture list. and i'm supposed to be in Thailand in early March, although I nhaven't booked flight yet. i could easily get a ticket from one of the "urchins", but i hadn't even looked at the fixtures when this Thailand thing was planned. but if i was you, i would certainly take the money and run on that. bound to be live on telly, what with all the pre-match build up and post match stuff etc. they'll probably have perry groves and john lukic crying on the mic at half time. good to miss eh?

I might be wrong, but I thought Old Trafford wasn't officially 'in Manchester' anyways as Trafford or whatever had some separate city council or something?! Thus making City not only the no.1 team in Manchester, but the, er, ONLY team in Manchester?

Anyone know if there's any truth in that?

Old Trafford is Trafford Borough which is part of "greater manchester" but isn't in the City or Manchester...

There are a bunch of clubs in Manchester like FCUnited etc etc...but there is only one major club in city limits
