yea it did say that for most venues but that was because they'd all gone.i was chasing round venues on the site but every time i got there they'd gone!! already going for 220 pound a pair on e-bay

I managed to get two tickets for Glasgow Academy this morning.

I made damn sure my Ticketmaster account was set up the night before with my billing/credit card info in their system. They reserve the tickets for 2 minutes you once you begin the ordering process, I got mine at just after 9am.

I haven't checked the site since the email confirmation (will do now) but if his Scottish dates sell slowly I might get an extra ticket for either Dundee or Aberdeen. 70 quid's all I can afford for the time being!

So good to see that he can't be bothered with Manc Aid.

Here's hoping he gets chronic laryngitis!

I doubt Mozzer would want to breath the same air as Joyce,he'd probably kill him quicker than the big"C". Would have been great at least for Mozz/Marr get together.

A friend of mine managed to get Oxford tickets,so I'm on chauffeur duties! Everywhere else sold out.

What a stupid fucking thing to say on a thread replied to by people who are wanting to see Morrissey live :nonono: I couldn't give a toss that he's not doing MvC and if you use your brain for 10 seconds it's quite easy to figure out why: Andy Rourke aided Joyce in his court case, Moz is not on chummy terms with Johnny Marr plus Hooky recently laid into him in print. Would you go if you were him? I wouldn't.

Also, Rourke recently confessed in an interview he didn't think it would be worth asking Morrissey so it's not that he "can't be bothered", he wasn't asked to do it in the first place.

monty wrote: I doubt Mozzer would want to breath the same air as Joyce,he'd probably kill him quicker than the big"C". Would have been great at least for Mozz/Marr get together.

Joyce isn't involved in Manchester v Cancer to my knowledge, it's just Andy Rourke. I read a recent interview (The Times I think) with Marr where he said he was quite happy sharing a stage with Rourke as they were mates from childhood and had worked out their issues. However when Joyce was mentioned Marr sounded visibly pissed off with the interviewer and reminded him of the court case, I think it was the only point in the entire interview he swore.

After a struggle I managed to get tickets for Leeds and Llandudno. Tried to get tix for the Lowry but it was fooking impossible. Never had this much trouble getting tickets for any gig. I can't believe Moz is playing four nights here and I won't make even one!

Why give Moz grief over not doing Manc Aid? He wasn't likely to just turn up or anything.

I've heard (not 100%) a local record store will have some on sale 1st thing tomorrow. Don't tell anyone I told you.

It all seemed to have sold out by about 3 seconds past 9am this morning....BASTARD!! It has never been so difficult to get gig tickets as it is these days. Whatever happened to being able to turn up on the night if you fancied it, instead of having to plan your social life at least 4 months in advance, and then being disappointed!!! I could think of several rude words to use now, beginning with F, S, B, W C and so on..! :banghead:  :banghead:

having said that,i feel guilty for getting the tickets knowing that so many wonderful mancunians didn't make it:cry:

Ooooh, Manchester, so much to answer for...........

Could have been a good chance for reconcillation thou' surely? And maybe Hooky laid into him partly because of this missed opportunity? And I thought threads were for debating... This is new order online and not morrisey online after all...

Craig's cloud cuckoo land wrote: Could have been a good chance for reconcillation thou' surely?

No. Anyone who's got even a casual knowledge of post-Smiths Morrissey & Marr relations will know that any chance of reconciliation is slim to none. I don't see how a charity gig, however worthy, would or should change that. Besides, half the people on the MvC bill probably think he's a twat as well. I reiterate, would you go if you were him and under those circumstances?

And maybe Hooky laid into him partly because of this missed opportunity?

No and you're twisting what could've been Hooky's reason to fit your own assumptions. If you look back through recent Hooky interviews the reason why he thinks Morrissey is a twat is clear, and has nothing to do with his absence from the MvC bill. As we already established Morrissey wasn't invited in the first place so why should he get stick?

And I thought threads were for debating... This is new order online and not morrisey online after all...

You weren't debating, you were wishing laryngitis on an individual everyone on this particular thread is interested in seeing live. So don't act all surprised and play the "I'm just debating" card when you get some justified stick in return.

There are quite a few of us on here who have spent the best part of 200 quid getting tickets for these shows and having someone chipping in with "I wish illness on the person you've got tickets for" isn't really going to provoke the best reaction is it?

I can't believe I had to explain those last two paragraphs to be honest.

X-clusive: Another Morrissey London Date Announced!

Its all about the exclusive gig announcements today, as Xfm can reveal the details of a special Morrissey London show at Alexandra Palace taking place in May.

Not entirely surprisingly, Morrissey's previously announced three night ‘Every Day Is Like Sunday’-esque residency at the London Palladium sold out in a matter of minutes...

Now due to such absolutely amazingly, remarkably and entirely predictably phenomenal public demand, Mozzer has announced a new London show at Alexandra Palace taking place on May 1 (a Bank Holiday Monday, no less).

Tickets will be going on-sale this Friday February 3 at 9am and will be available from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop

have any of your tickets actually arrived yet?

My stirling ones arrived yesterday, still waiting on london/dundee/aberdeen

My Aberdeen ones arrived this morning.

Chucked them straight in the bin - no way can he top what Marr did at MvC.

but I don't work for a Mr Big operating company like you, I work for service scum:)

So ,I had left for work before the postman had reached my door so my aderdeen tickets may have arrived by now.

It's not too strong to say that i was blown away by marrs' versions on saturday, HSIN was much better than moz's version and I never thought I'd hear myself say that.

So far, My Palladium, Salford and Leeds tix have arrived.

What gig in London are you doing? Ally Pally and the last night at the Palladium for me.

first palladium

HSIN had every right to be - it's Marrs song anyway. The Smiths had terrible trouble playing it live, the guitar parts were overlayed millions of times in the studio (by very stoned people, aparently) and it was a mare to replicate on stage. Marr's the man though, he wouldn't have attempted it at MvC unless he knew it was going to be good.

There is a light though, that was brilliant.

Why on earth did the put tickets up for sale on the Ticketexploitationsites.com on a Friday morning at 9 a.m. ? Those of us who have to earn a crust had no chance of getting to the sites or to the venues.

I now understand that the queues at two northern venues and no doubt those on the internet sites consisted of mostly amateur student touts. They are now selling spare Mozza tickets on ebay to finance the purchase of Arctic Monkeys tickets. If you looked at ebay last Friday morning there were some entries that had already being listed up to 2-3 days before tickets became available.

The whole thing stinks! Never mind still got to see the real deal last Saturday night (1/2 od the Smiths in Mancland).
