How many of yous wear them? I'm after a new pair of trainers but refuse to give in to the seemingly tidal wave of them that's swept the world.

My current trainers i've worn for 3 bloody years are dark blue Vans.I had a look around the other day for something similar and it's just all these white trainers that make you look like a surgeon off ER or something

Bloody Chavs

Wear em to the MEN gig, that'll do the trick. Ask Biggie!

They just remind me of a job i once did packing Hospital equipment.Because of the hygeine thing we had to wear white covers over our shoes.

My sole pair of shoes are solid white K-Swiss low-cuts (that are gradually going gray). Do those count as trainers?

hell no, i'd never wear white trainers, unless i'm exercising. what's the point? they just get dirty anyway. my running shoes are white adidas with blue stripes (but they're only for running), and i have a pair of tan wannabe adidas with 2 stripes and velcro that i bought at new look maybe five years ago.

"sole" pun intended there ,Hannett?

Fook all wrong with white trainers, anything but if you ask me. Adidas Stan Smith (non-velcro) & Forest Hills 82' for me. Far from chav, more like style conscious & fine appreciation of terrace chic

Can't decide whether to give the old favourites a third NO outing or premier my box-fresh, minty mint Anniversary Supes: their first and only airing.

Got a pair of unworn NY's (my 2nd pair) and a pair of Tokyo's that havent seen any NO action yet.

My NO Vets are Trimm-Trab. Keep thinking of putting them into the Hotpoint, but that's AUTHENTIC gig dirt, you can't buy it in the shops.

I can't even touch the Converse (brown and City Blue, natch) that I worse to Glasto. That mud will be worth a fortune one day: they had a pantomine horse you know!

The Superstars smell so NEEEEW, I just can't do it to them.

EDIT: The next time I am sober (which may be some time) I will photograph some trainers and post them here. You will be AMAZED at how much pleasure some scummy old pumps give to an overweight, balding Manc.

BA will love them too - especially my green suede Gazelles with the blim burns on!

 Were my only pair of trainers til I got interested in running and I grabbed a pair of proper shoes to go around in. Still buy them any chance I get, but not in the cream/white.

I don't have any call for white shoes in my wardrobe.

Yes, some white trainers are good, others are just not right! Some of the ones you see these days are bizarre! I also wore some to Finsbury Park - they are not good at gigs, in or outdoors, unless you don't want them anymore!

Adidas Kick anyone..?

Why would any man wear white shoes of any sort?

He does indeed, and also gave a mention to all those wearing them at Finsbury Park. They were of course ruined by then....

yup, got a mint pair. Trouble is, old skool trainers, old skool comfort. Ouch.

Actually, it may them the kicks that 'get it'. Completely forgot I had them.

For anyone interested their is an Adidas shop just near the MEN in the old Corn Exchange, now called 'The Triangle'. It specialises in old skool stuff. The sort of shop you go in, feel nostalgic, buy loads of stuff, then never wear it coz you are 20 years olders than the last time you wore it and you look a dick.

yeh yeh, I always look a dick, blah blah :evil4:

White trainers is too broad a description. Big ugly Reebok's that are designed for running Marathons aint that nice agreed. But you cannae beat a nice pair of Gazelles or shell-toes.

I'm currently sporting a nice pair of off-white Evisu's which look a bit like Converse but better. Last week when i was in Prague I got all bold and bought a pair of (aherm!) RED Adidas Kick Mexico 70 re-issues with the Czechoslovakia badge on them. Got them home and decided I just don't have the balls to carry them off!

I still wear replica Diadora Borgs. They were good enough for me in 1983, so they're good enough for me now.

Prison-white trainers though? Chavtastic. And as for the Arse forking out a fortune on wunderkid Theo Walcott?! :wtf:

You could get a reasonably seasoned pro for that intial 5mill, let alone the 12mill it might eventually become. One trick pony: pace. The only half-decent goal he's scored was against us and that was a freak lob over our 18 year old 3rd choice keeper who was woefully out of position staring into blinding sunlight.

I'm glad no-one's yet made a comment about Wenger and young boys though. :eek3:

Yes, only replicas now. I've never been arsed to track down the original real-deal.

(And, yes, I know that wasn't what you meant! :thumb: )

(But I just wanted to make the point I wasn't wearing replicas 'back in the day'!).

NObabe wrote: that your natural feet size, Johnny?

My last pair of trainers were size 8 (don't know what that is in european size) .they were tight at first but i got used to them.I usually have to have a 9 .But these new ones are 10.Apparantly Addidas make their trainers quite small. So if you're normally a size 9 you have to get 10.

I liked my old trainers size because i'm happy with an 8.Didn't make my feet look too big which i hate.As long as my jeans sit over the top well the new ones won't look too big

Bonzette wrote: They are class!!!! How much?

£39.99 .Reduced from £55.

Does that mean they are last year's thing? :brow:

Johnny chill I was only taking the pish, lol

I wear No. 6, that's European 39 1/3 I think. Yeah you're damn right about Adidas making their shoes too small. I normally wear 39 and my last pair of Titan appears to be 39 1/3, still too tight. Bugger.

Nah, I can't stand pure white trainers. My trainer of choice these days is generally Puma:

I rarely rave about clothes or footwear but the TX-3 is great; really comfy and looks good with jeans or combats. Plus I recently won a pair on eBay for £14... bargain!
