i wouldn't think i would want that either, or a bare backside all the time... sort of defeats much of the purpose, doesn't it?

But I saw a 220-ish pound woman with a black thong sticking four inches out of pants... and if it is comfortable for her, hell, it must be comfortable for everyone. maybe I'm really missing out on something good. I read in the newspaper that 7% of men prefer to wear thongs suppossedly.

as for women, no doubt they can look hella good in pants and it is kinda fun to check for the thong i must admit... but a thong alone is kind of tacky and unsantitary to me, but maybe I'm wrong

They're pretty repulsive when you see them on girls with low-rise jeans. There isn't much of a purpose to them, anyway. It's even sadder to see 12 and 13 year old girls hiking up their thongs and pulling down their pants below their hips. What is so wrong with pants that go to the waist? Low-rise jeans make the average girl look like a cow, anyway.

Well, we have -20c here. And lots of snow.

So, NO!

Sometimes in the summer though.

What's the difference between thongs and flip flops?

there is nothing more uncomfortable than a pair of jeans that goes to the waist. i only have one pair of jeans, as i can't really stand the feel of denim, but i can wear them because they sit low on my waist so they're more comfortable.

Erm, one is a piece of underwear and the other is a Democrat presidential candidate.

Nah, the real answer to your questions is that they call flip flops 'thongs' in Australia. It's really the same thing.

Maybe up the the waist is extreme but not below the hips, either. I used to work with these two girl during the summer who would pull their pants below their hips so that their underwear would show. The manager used to tell them to pull up their pants but as soon as he left, they pulled them down again. I didn't get the point. Why show off your underwear?

Maybe it's expensive, some freaking Gucci?!

The temptation for someone to give me a really painful wedgie if I wore them keeps me from doing so :nonono:

Regular thongs (not thin gstrings) if they are the proper size do not give wedgies or floss the butt. They don't go anywhere that a normal pair of pants don't go. The fabric is too thick. It just lays over the great devide

They are very comfortable and the skin on my backside cleared up once i switched.

Not sexy. Nice hipsters are much better. Take note girls. If you need any other fashion/styling advice just ask.

Do ask. I have the styling sensibilities of that Hispanic fella from America's Next Top Model without the flamboyant poofery or cuban heels. What's your fashion query caller?

Jay Manuel is the chap in question.

What aspect of make up? Too broad a subject matter. Demands a thread/forum all of it's own. Probably already has one on the Depeche Mode fansite.

I don't agree. If the girl isn't as fat as a cow, it's not the jeans that are going to make her look like one. If the girl is as fat as a cow, I'm afraid no pair of jeans could help her.

I like low-rise jeans a lot. I find them sexy. I remember the girl before me at the New Order Paris Olympia show in 2001. She was wearing low-rise jeans with nothing under (not even thongs). She was standing at the first row of the balcony and every time she leaned at the balustrade I had a great view on her ass. The jeans weren't low enough to let me see her anus, though :ignore:

I'm not sure about that. I see a lot of girls at my school wearing low-rise jeans and thongs and most of them have their stomachs, love handles, and back fat hanging out of the tops of their jeans. Then again, if a girl doesn't mind that, what's my opinion going to do?

My GF only wears thongs or goes commando. She says she gets tired of getting wedges and rearranging them through the course of the day- unless she's on the rag she wears regular panties. It also solves the age old problem of visible pantylines. I love her mesh thong. :love2: Thongs don't seem like a fad and they are *ahem* here to stay.

What bothers me is seeing 12, 13 yr old girls wearing them, way too young to be sporting thongs. No wonder there is an alarming increase in teens having sex, at least in america it is.

Sorry, no appeal for me.
