well with all the worlds out there, there just has to be intelligent life somewhere.

personaly i did see something on one of my late night walks. two objects seperated and moved at high speed away from each other. then there is that picture of me on a beach where in broad daylight you can see a mysterious circular golden object hovering in the sky. (no not the sun) the funny thing is nobody was aware of it at the time. i'm not sure if it is just some fault in the film, or in the processing, but i have never seen anything like that in any of our pictures.

probably life out there in many places throughout the billions of years... but space is so vast. unless they can break/bend the laws of physics as we know it, the chance of another species that can communicate or travel thru space and actually being close enough to interact or even communicate in any way with Earth right now? ... the odds are so small, really small, REALLY really damn small. its depressing.

and for them to be fucking around in our atmosphere just to give us a peek here and there, just to fuck wit us... why would they bother, what would be the point?

well who knows what the point of anything is. just think how far our technological abilities have come in the last 100 years. so, who knows what "ailiens" who have had technology for thousands of years may have developed.

Just not here. :D

I'm not sure about UFOs-- it's a posssibility-- but I'm certain there are lots of worlds with lots of life out there. Now, whether they're intelligent, or like us instead, remnains to be seen.

Come to think of it, when I was a kid, I did see a UFO. I forgot all about it until my sister reminded me in the last year or so. It was flying at dusk almost over our grandmother's house. We saw it, my grandmother saw it, all the neighbors saw it, a cop saw it...

Not a light, but a metallic flying saucer with lights on it. Flying very low, we could make out that it was metallic.

Forgot all about it agian until this thread.

Maybe it's the anal implant that wipes my memory. :D

But really, we really did see it, and it wasn't an airplane or a balloon or a light or swamp gas.

It would be naive to think we're the only ones in the universe. I believe aliens have visited this planet in the past, and perhaps had a hand in human development.

I think there's a high possibility. About 30 people and I saw something up at a wilderness camp that couldn't be explained and this was pre-E experimentation, was just 11 years old. I would like more solid evidence about it all, if they've really been around, because old toothless ninny's from the back of beyond yelling about getting probed and porked by a thin green man just doesn't do it for me. :evil4:

then there is the old argument of if they are visiting us all the time where are they.

from my extensive reserach on the subject. i have read two rather trashy and cheap books on ailien encounters and abductions. i have learned that there are basicly two types of ailiens. one sperads the message of peace, and that we should look after the planet. the other one performs rectal probes and is interested in cross breeding with humanity. (very much x-files) onevariey is supposed to look like the sterotypical ailien, short green/gey with big eyes. the other is rather elongated, and whiteish in appearnce. i forget which varity perfoms the cross breading experiments.

funny this topic...

on the frapp map, I put a flying saucer picture as avatar. why ? well this photo was taken in my hometown in the early seventies... it is considered as a no-fake one.

If UFO's have visited Earth, why do they always choose deserted country lanes in the middle of the night? Make some believers and land in New York or London in the middle of the day where everybody can see you.

well that my just be the point. otherwise there may be a mass panic. if aliens had meant to announce their presence, assuming that that are indeed regular visitors to earth, then they would have done so a long time ago.

that begs the question, why there are sightings at all. surely if they can traverse squillions of miles, or jump dimensions or universes, utilise wormholes, whatever, then surely they can invent a cloaking devise that actually works.

Well you'd be a bit daft to say "there are no unidentified flying objects" cos you can come round my place any time you like and tell the the names and launch dates of all the sattellites overhead. :D

I remember having this row with a saucer nut once who could NOT get it into his tonfoil clad brain that if we know something is a flying saucer, it's not a ufo, cos it's been identified as a spacecraft....WHOOOOOOSH right over his head.

it's idiotic to think we are alone. But even IF interstellar travel is more realistic that we currently believe (a race of Giant Redwoods could cross interstellar distances in an acceptable fraction of their own life time, just a thought)....have you seen where we are?

Let's say you;ve built your first fleet of explorer ships......do you send them inwards toward the galactic hub where stars are mere light months and even weeks apart....or do you send them out into the sticks (ie where we are). Mind you I do not discount the possibility we've had probes or scout ships fly by. After all, our OWN probes will one day reach other star systems.

I usually stop listening to saucer nuts ( and in fact lost all interest in UFO's because of them), when they start talking about guy that look like us. Considering all the evolutionary accidents that lead to our existence as the dominant life here, what possible reason is there to assume the exact same course of developement has occured elswhere..... I mean outside those species directly genetically related to us on THIS world, none of the other intellgent ones look anything like us.

And like the old logic says...why is it always emotionally disturbed unereducated people who have personal encounters with our "lookalike" pals. Why is it never someone with a degree in aerodynamics or xenobiology or astrophysics.....why is it always a pig farmer. Smart enough to built interstellar navigation craft, too dumb to work out that they may get a better sample of humanity from a city or even a university.

Oh and my other thing about saucer nuts...... "they're tryin to hide it all man, THEY don;t want you to know, it's OUR duty to bring you this information" "well thank you, I'll take one of these interesting looking photocopied 10 sheet A4 pamphlets" "certainly, that'll be £300"

Hmmmmmmmm

they don't have to hit town.....just abduct smart people on journeys through the countryside......but no.....travel trillions of miles and pick up a horse-rapist out for a night's fun.

And as for FTL travel, I'm sure it's doable and in ways easier than destroying stars to make wormholes (pointless for us anyway, we've got to GET to aanother star first). But cloaking devices hmmmmmmmm if you really think what is needed for a cloaking device, it's not easy (I mean lensing is no good, you literally need a skin covered in DIRECTIONALLY SENSITVE photosensors and chromataphores.)

Perhaps. Then again, maybe they ARE the aliens, and this is their clever ruse.

Back in the late seventies there was a programme on ITV like one of those half hour World In Action type doccies called Alternative Three - it showed what was allegedly video footage taken by one of the early Mars probes with the 'Mission Control' commentary on the telemetry in the background. One of the scenes showed something burrowing at very high speed across the Martian landscape with lots of 'WTF?'s from the commentator - scared the crap out of me! Suppose it was a spoof but always remember thinking the 'special effects' of the burrowing were way too advanced for that particular time period.

It is illogical to think otherwise (...Spock).

...and we know that quantum mechanics is out of our human league of understanding at present, so I'm sure more advanced beings, who understand such things, have found ways and means to travel at speeds faster than light... or rather they have found ways to bend and twist their way through space time enabling what seems like faster than light travel...

:)

You'd be gobsmacked at how saucerlike aircraft can appear you know.

Seen a few odd ones myself tho. Coupla years ago, standing in carpark at work about 5 AM havin a smoke, and seen what looked like a shoting star (ok a meteor) except it was MUCH too slow, it was in sight for 5-6 seconds, and it was MUCH too fast to be a satellite.

Also seen THE biggest fucking satellite EVER one night out in belfast lough, it was HUGE, way bigger than venus, a single point light source, course, speed and the way it went over the horizon put it FAR too high to be an aircraft.

Poosibly the coolest thing I seen was one night coming home lissed, I turned round to look at an excellent moon, just in tyime to see a shadow pass in the moon rays, a high alt aircraft or sattellite had flown right accross the lower edge of it.

incidentally

If you want to see something TRULY fuckin freaky in the sky go here.....

Heavens-above

Give it your location and ask it to show you the times and positions of iridium flares. Anything better (lower number) than a mag -2 will be impressive.

Wait till you see a fuckin -8 or -9 It's like the sun coming out for a second...my mate first seen one while fishing....looking at the surface of the lake....nearly freaked him to death

Yeah I believe in them.Saw something a little weird recently, coming back from Blackpool over Belmont, north of Bolton.Coming past Winter Hill, this big TV transmitter, something red flashed across my windshield.Couldn't see a thing in the sky,no other cars on the road at that time of night. I suspect that the Ministry Of Defence and U.S Airforce might have a hand in a lot of the phenomena seen over the last decades. No surprise that the most sightings happen to appear around airbases.A well known UFO hotspot is up north of Edinburgh so I believe, close by to a Ministry Of Defence base. But there's no escaping how these sightings first started...back as far as 1940s,you couldn't make that up!

LOL before 1940 everyone knew everything in the sky?

UFO's are as old as looking at the sky..... a new type of bird is a UFO.

What started in 1940's was retards believing in little grey humans who wpeak english.

I remember some dribbling spastic telling me "the Americans have a UFO in a hanger" Errrr no, if it's in a hangar

  1. it is not unidentified, they know what it is (even if that is a spacecraft)
  2. it is not flying

SO...they have an O

And he just could NOT understand it, called me "one of them" and so on.

Any UFO info that isn't free is bogus, fact, real scientific data is always free..... until MS and Fox copyright the periodic table anyway.

have aliens been to earth?,have they fuck as like. if evolution on other worlds is anything like it has been on earth then the so called drawings of alien visitors is a dead give away, eyes at the front meaning bi-focular vision,in other words a hunter. so if they had of visited they would have eaten everything and fucked what they couldnt eat, much like this planets inhabitants now. aliens pfff, you will be believing in a promotion dept at london warners next.
