I never said you were from Essex, I was merely giving examples of non-northern class.

Oh, don't forget The Wurzels

And you can't touch me, I know I'm scum, from an island populated by the most classless bunch of pissheads you ever seen (outside anywhere with an L postcode anyway)

I started saving myself the 4$ + tax and learned to make them at home. Not exactly like the original, but just enough to fool my tastebuds. :D I love coffee. Usually nothing fancy, but I did enjoy my fraps before they cut into my cash a little much. Most days I drink my coffee black and sweet.

I don't like coffeeshops, or the air that seems prevalent aroudn the ones here. There're friendlier place to go, I htink. Bowling alleys, for one.

Just as big a fan of tea.

I thought that this is where this thread might be heading. Always woz a bit confused about those places. A bit like the country really.
Never could make up their minds whether they are in Holland or the Netherlands. Before they got the euro, what was their currency, the guilder or the florin? Why have they got two capitals (The Hague & Amsterdam)? & Some of the coffee shops don't sell coffee.

Never had a drink of coffee myself, tea here everytime. One of my friends has an espresso stand, just looking at the menu gives me a headache, I wouldn't know where to start. You can sue me for supporting a Starbucks today though, I just popped in the local one at the Fred Meyer to see if they had a marionberry muffin. They did, so I bought one. Had to go there, the local bakery where I get mine was out earlier this morning...:(

Used to be a coffee shop demon but I've nearly stopped drinking the stuff. A friend's developed a fondness for caffeine so I go in more than usual but I buy tea instead. Much cheaper option but £1.20 for a teabag, hot water and milk still seems high!

In general I don't mind coffee shops but it's mostly Starbucks, Cafe Nero and such in Manchester, you're better off with the pubs.

as much as i love coffee. i don't really go into coffee shops. i much prefer a pub. these days they absolutely confuse. what happened to the days when you just ordered a white coffee with sugar, or a cappuccino.

All of the coffee chains - Cafe Nero, Starbucks, etc are all crap. Overpriced and nothing but a load of froth.

It makes me laugh how these coffee bars in the UK are so desperately trying to feel like that you are supping your Latte in mainland Europe, with their shiny bistro chairs, complete with tables and umbrellas outside on the pavement. 'Wow, I feel like I could be in Munich! No, wait a minute, I'm still in Stoke..' Shite.

Of course, living out in mainland Europe now, I am addicted to coffee as the tea is, quite frankly, awful :shudder:

we had some good ones in bremen, like tschibo, and eduscho. the people in bremen are very proud of their coffee, as they import it and roast it. sometimes the whole city smells of roasted coffee, yum. bremen supplies much of europe with coffee.

we have quite a few locally owned coffee shops around here (not too many Starbux due to smart city zoning). I don't hang out in them but buy super high octane coffee to go. There's one in particular that makes me feel especially cracked out. A fun/scary feeling.:eek3:
