I don't know, it must be something in the water.

Why not?

Felt like it, simple as that. Oldmonkey has been around for a couple of years now, there were quite a few before that.

The name BIGINOIL was given to me on March 6th 2005 by Rocket Mick on the first ever Ask Rocket thread. And not a moment too soon, for the following day the thread was locked by Jeff for having too many pictures of Bongo.

The original thread started on December 19th 2004 and ran to a record 89 pages of utter utter bollocks.

I have only changed my name once since then, to Peter North. I found I was getting too much of the wrong sort of attention, so I changed it back.

I will continue to be known as Norwegian Blue until I get bored of it or until Jem gets hold of my password and changes it for me.

The best name change ever on NOOL was when Digital Mike Binoche changed his name, by Deed Poll and everything, to Ol' Blue Monday Eyes is Back.

Although it doesn't sound like much now, it was very very funny at the time.

Long story - the puffin was an obsession that developed when I was in Iceland and I bought a cuddly puffin to take home, which was named Snorri, as that's a good Icelandic name... Later, randomly, a friend at university gave all her mates Pokemon names based on their characters/special powers - I didn't get one and as a result Snorrimon was born... I never used it for ages, but then cos I didn't want to use my real name on here and couldn't think of a good NO-related name, it was resurrected... So, I suppose a Snorrimon, is a vaguely mythical creature, half-puffin, half-something else... Or something...

It's a quite normal thing in Iceland, I suppose there are thousands of the little buggers there so might as well make use of them - they taste quite nice actually...

do they taste like chicken?

Generic wrote: do they taste like chicken?

That's what I heard - that they tasted like a cross between chicken and fish, but I suppose chicken was the closest to it I can describe... Guillemot on the other hand tasted like steak... I didn't eat any other seabirds, sadly... Although I think the Fulmar is off the menu, after a nasty disease hit the Fulmar population in the 70s... Steered clear of the rancid shark meat and pickled whale blubber too... :food:

The West Ham Badge will back on Monday in anticipation of the FA Cup Quarter Final against Man City, and depending on the result may return for subsequent cup games. If we win the FA Cup, I may see if I can get a picture of a puffin wearing the West Ham strip, clutching a mini FA Cup in his beak...
