Should we record a NOOL anthem?

Since there are so many talented NOOLers here, let's write and record a NOOL anthem. We'll choose a lead singer and then each of us would record at home the chorus lines - so a sound-engineer would be able to combine all the voices into a crowd chanting!

Or is it :spit: ?

 I like it, good idea :thumb:

Just listening to the latest couple of Community polls could we sample the bird who says "You're listening to Community 2 on NOOL" and change it to "You're listening to the Community of NOOL"? I keep expecting to hear it every time I listen to a NO track recently!

Never really mastered the full range of ovine timbres I'm afraid. But if you give me an effects box, some wires, a mixer and no instruments, I'll give you 3 hours of Dr Who soundtrack :D

In that case, Ron, you'll definitely need to change your name and adopt a suitably music biz moniker...

 thats what i thought. Theres enough people who can play instruments here to make it pretty cool.

Suspect there are plenty of better bass players than me out there, but I would be just about competent enough to oush a couple of buttons on a keyboard or something...

You mean the megamix?

It's in the media section.

Well, it's also weird when you hear here say it on her own track... (Glasnost) ;)

Loved the start of that megamix - "We're New Order, and we're a bit fucked."

Don't start all that again Mike!

I call triangle or tambourine.

Is that a suggestion for the name of the band?

Oh well...there goes my plan

Was gonna bring over a DAT machine, a pair of Neuman mics and a sharp stick...with which to capture "jemma percussion".

If there was to be a theme tune it should be a 10 min mash up of NO/JD/Elec/Revenge/TO2/Monaco tunes...

That would make for an interesting competition...

Who knows... maybe even Warners could stump up an I-POD as the prize; :spit:

Still think this is a good idea

Andy....we need you to record "Boom Bash Boom bash" with a funky off kilter hihat, at about 160bpm.

Right the rest of you, voices and kazoos only.... AOC..

I still love your rendition of Truth and listen to it from time to time! Great vocals, great programming.

 The ugly truth there is that, my mate Keith came down to do the piano, I was in an evil mood and not too well, recorded his first take and went to bed. It was pants, and I spent AGES correcting the MIDI for it, so the programming was about 10% art and 90% lazy git compensation :D But cheers anyway ;)

Something I noticed from trying to sing TF....Barney has bigger lungs and better breath control than I think we credit him with.....I found it very hard to get the lines out, and get enough air in for the next in so tiny a time without panting (I'm a dab hand with a noise gate so MOST of it is gone)...yet the barnster can get the lyrics out, AND slip the occassional whoop and full blooded lung draining yell in.

:nonono: People today, too lazy. But if it turned in to some mint thing, :thumb:

Check Barney out. Hes moving about on stage getting tired too, must be proper hard. Mind, he'd get slated by the rest of 'em if he couldnt sing his own song live...
