Picked up Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's album this weekend, it's pretty good. Any fans mourning the end of the Jesus and Mary Chain would wet themselves on this lp, it's almost like the Reid brothers started giging under an assumed name. Really good fuzzy guitar rock......

i think their miles better than the mary chain.that l.p. just hit the right spot with me.its nothin original of course,but i prefer them to the strokes and the white stripes.love burns is a great song.anyone into the hives? i got their album recently.runs out of steam after the first 5 or 6 tracks and the album is only 25 minutes long but well worth checkin out..
I miss the Mary Chain like mad since they split but I believe Jim Reid and Ben Lurie are now quietly carrying on in a similar vein with a new band under the name FREEHEAT.... Are BRMC any good then, despite the JAMC comparisons? Hope they're not one of these hypes like The Strokes - that kind of thing always puts me off investigating any new band - it's just so deeply suspicious to me... tell me if they're good then Tabsy - go on! Gods honest truth! :)
