According to what I've heard, 30's the new 40 because so many people are burning out and having "quarter-life crises" around that age these days. That's what happens when you spend your life working too hard!

30 is definitely the new 20; my 30s (so far) have been much better than my 20s ever were. actually, i feel the same as i did when i was 18--i look the same too, or so i've been told.

Nothing is the new anything else.
Such statements are the work of the understimulation of underdeveloped minds (ie Journo's)
Division is the new order? what?

the new 40
this is delusional tripe quoted by 40 year olds... c, mon, 40 year old people are not nearly as sexy as 30 years olds, at least a vast majority... nor have the potential overall. and heck, 20 year olds now are so healthy and toned they blow away kids from 20 years ago.
they also say that 60 and 70 years olds are so healthy and active now, but then at the same time there is a massive obseity expedemic and a large generation of unhealthy people getting older... I guess it is all your perspective:\ohwell:

well , you know, its not the physical sexy thing!! ![]()
its more to do about what people of said age groups are doing or not doing with their lives compared to how it used to be at that age
nothing to do with "sexiness" ![]()
According to my birth cert, I'm nearly 35, but depending on my mood, I am variously 2,9,14,17 and 112 and pretty much always have been.
the only thing I have noted thus far with the passing of age is that my mates have grown up LOL....that and a noticable contraction in perceived time.....when you are 7, a year is fucking forever, when you;re 27 it's not so bad. ;)
I theorise the effect may be cubically curved, and that by the time yer 87 and have tubes up yer arse, the time between breakfast and morning tea could feel like a life sentence.

Okay, you just painted a not-so-pretty image in my mind with that theory of yours.. don't do that! :\ohwell:

nasty. if only we could stay at 18, 19, 21 physically. but somehow age every other way. the fourties have been said to be fabulous. any wrinkles and all.
rarely can you compare the lifestyle of one generations to next. there just were more responsibilities years ago so the work/ to play ratio is different.

Perhaps if the Government want us working till we're 70,we could also get some kids up the chimney,or picking cotton or something...

we all may feel younger, but for at least some of us (not me, there's no getting away from the biological time clock.

Well, I've heard that 30 is the new 20 it before and it makes sense in a way. People aren't getting married and having babies at 21 like they used to. Hell I hope it's true. My 30's rock so far (all one and half years of them).

By the way, Johnny, if you read this -- tell me, have you listened to any of the albums put out by the label Two Sheds Music? That's what your nickname triggers in my mind.
