session musicians?

been listening to a show on the radio recently which basically gave the inside info on a lot of famous songs. ie how they was made in the studio ect,i was shocked to hear that frankie goes to hollywood didnt play a bloody note on the pleasuredome album,relax included. they went on to rattle out more tales of which famous acts couldnt do it in the studio so when thay went home the seshies would sneak in and do it reet. got me thinking if the order had ever done this or had it done to them. surley not,hogwash i hear you say,well is it barney singing on the single version of subculure or not?? or is it a stand in?? did hannet re-record anything when they had popped off home?? anyone know?

Oddly FGTH could play like fuck, but yeah the whole album is fairlight more or less.

NO's producers play the odd part in I believe Barney has said. But apart from that...nahhh. Not in their style, then neither is miming BM?
