Does anyone know an easy way of taking a 1hr mp3 and converting it to say 3 min chunks?

or even better writing an audio cd from it inserting track breaks every 3 mins ?

I can think of rather convoluted ways using Cubase but there must be an easier way ????

Nero....load the mp3 into it and rightclick>edit, it will let you assign track points into the mp3.

if you want actual song points or something like that....wavelab and soundforge both have auto region (you can set time or level criteria) and split at region functions but I've never used them
