Flying the Flag...

As everyone knows, I take my Band (Moz, Boz etc) on tour with me. Tonight, my bog standard St Georges Flag with the band members name written on was prohibited. I was told explicitly not to wave it or risk rejection.

I did wave it at the end, to which both Gary and Boz both acknowledged. But I presonally thought this was a disgrace.

fucking left wing PC Cunts responsible for this if you ask me. Any Asian Community leader never seems to have a problem with the flag of this country.

during euro 2004 my ex's nephew's class (of 6 year olds) were told not to wear anything with st georges cross on it so as to not offend kids not from england.

I couldn't believe it because we have the same type of PC bullshit running rampant here but never heard of anything to that extreme before

Did they explain why you were not allowed to wave the flag? Was it just for this concert or is the standard of the venue? Interested in more detail.

Either way, I'm sorry that people can't seem to show pride by waving a flag.

Flag waving is OK, but it obviously depends on the context!

If it was an England flag at a Mossy gig you can understand people getting nervy after all that BNP flirtation Mossy had in the 90's (plus the BNP just got a record number of seats in the council elections)!

Put it this way Liam, if you'd have been stood in front of me waving a bloody flag I'd have broke the stick and trashed the flag, whether it were a St.George's flag, a Worcester City flag or a flag with Kelly Brook topless on it!

first of all, I was in a place where there was no one behind me. We originally wanted to hang it over the balcony, as we've been able to do in Leeds, Opera House, etc. Then we tried to stick it on the wall, couldnt do that either. We were then told not to wave it or we would be ejected. No reason as to why though. Just that "she" (ther theatre manager one presumes).

You are free to wave the flag wherever you want, but if you block someone's view of the gig don't be surprised if they get more than a little piddled off with you!

Also, you can wave it at a Mossy gig if that's what you feel you need to do; you're sure to invite some 'delightful' human lifeforms into your radar zone.

Here, the law is quite clear : Flags at sport matches allowed + the players of the national football team ask for more. Flags at home (at least in the garden or at the window) forbidden. Only places like Police stations, barracks, city halls and all this kind of places have the right to fly one.
