Emma, I'm in work, and while it's not unknown for some of my cow orkers to sleep it's not my thing.

It's very rarely I'd be so fucked I'd need to sleep in here, and if I did I would sneak off to the sofa in the reception area :D

As it is, we're watching a dvd.....no English idiots phoning up from Gatwick check-in tonight :D

I work in the secure unit of the UK identity and passport service. we do other things too ( our company does proper "call centre" business too), like the national blood service for England and Wales and the NHS careers line....we have to deal with those things too cos we're in at night and it's only us, but passports is what I'm actually here for.

Mainly I tell English ppl they can't go on holiday ( dunno why but they are always English)...but be warned I do have access to the main passport database. yes..MI5 gave ME security clearance.

OK not quite gone yet.... it's Jack.

Was meaning to ask you, I have a minidisc recorder, with internal mic in it, that I record my riffs and doodles on. It didn't come with any leads to attach to a PC or anything...

But do you know if there's a way I could make MP3's of the stuff on the minidisc recorder?? :confused2:

Yeah all you need is a minijack to minijack lead to connect it to your PC, then use whatever wave editor you usually use to the do the recording, cleaning and conversion.

plus it from the headphone jack on the MD player to the line in on your computer. You can use the windows sound recorder, or wavelab or soundforge or whatever to record it and convert it.

So I just connect the comp to the recorder, open the necessary programme, press record on the minidisc, and it will appear on screen? Then I just convert it?

well u press PLAY on the minidisc :D but yeah the only other thing you may need to do is make sure you have "line in" selected as your recording source on yer windows mixer.
