or just that file.
Whole disk. It was working fine a few days ago, now I get an error message saying the disk may not be formatted.
tried it in different PC's?
(my bro had to go round an office he was installing a machine in and try SIX PC's to find one that could actually write a floppy without bolloxing it up.)
Definitely check your temp directory tho, word ALWAYS dumps a billion temp files at it's arse. can't believe you didn't save a copy to HD as well.
What I cannot tell you however, cos I cannot remember, is what word CALLS it's backup and temp files.....can't remember if they start wit a ~ or a 0 or what. Just using the windos finder to find all files created in the time window you last had it open, that should work.
PS.....to back up small files, mail them to yourself at a Gmail account, very handy that. If they are larger, say an image dump of your C:\ drive.....zip or rar it up, name it "Olsen twins lwsbo fuckfest.avi" and share it on winmx, it means there will always be 800,000 copies of your data available :D
