I'm a language geek, so anything to do with meanings or origins of words is never boring for me...
Bulldozer is an interesting one, as the meaning has shifted so much over a relatively short period of time... ![]()

I like to come up with my own theories on origins of words....I'm usually way off though as I don't know any latin or such. Also computers hate me....No relevance just a fact.:(

They smell your fear. Assert yourself. Keep a heavy object nearby and clobber it with it often, and brandish it at it more often. And always remember to yell at it when it does one of those ignoring your last command things, that's an open act of defiance on it's part.,

My Linux machine and I are best friends :D Has a male name (HAL9000) but is probably female, I've never checked. Most of our other Linux boxen are female or "its".
My windows machine tho it is called SAL9000, is an "it" tho sometimes male, cant see windows as female it's too brutal and stupid. We have a working relationship these days, an arrangement if you will. I don;t do brain surgery on it as long as it doesn't start being a dick.
Hey Cambo, since your the main man where computers are concerned, any ideas why we suddenly can't cut and paste on our other computer?
Windows box?
Is it the global cut and paste that's always on tap or the function within a program? And is it the menu entry, keyboard shortcut or both that it flogged?
Have a rough idea, gonna check something.
EDIT:balls, I thought the clipboard might be a standalone service that may have fallen over but it aint, it's till part of explorer.

It's the menu entry AND keyboard shortcuts that aren't working.
It works when you are in Microsoft Word, but once you are in an internet browser it doesn't work at all.
