My apologies to all for dragging everybody into this spat.
I've thought about this all night-- about calling her a lying cunt, and about why I was so angry with her. So here are my thoughts and final comments on the matter...
- I apologize for calling Minx a lying cunt. I have two reasons for apologizing:
1A) I shouldn't have done it, because it goes against the Buddhist training I'm trying to follow. I'm supposed to practice right speech, and what I said ain't right speech.
1B) I sincerely believe, and have the evidence to back up my belief, that Minx's version of "the truth" just didn't happen. However, while it's possible hat she's just flat out lying, it's also possible that she is genuinely mistaken and is too stubborn and lazy to investigate the facts or too small a woman to admit that she's mistaken. In either case, that doesn't make her a lying cunt, and I shouldn't have assumed the worst.
- I've thought all night about why I was so pissed off. It comes down to this, in order of importance:
2A) When I tried to have a reasonable conversation with her about whaI perceived as an "untruth," she spent an entire evening evading responsibility for what she had said. That was a pisser.
2B) When I responded to what I thought was a dig at both me and Cozzie, she tried to use that response to create a wedge between me and Cozzie. That was low.
2C) When I tried to have a reasonable conversation with her about what she had said, she immediately took it negative with her digs at me--- "silly little man" etc.
- Minx and I tried to hammer out a truce last night. I made my decision late last night about what that would take. It appears to be a moot point now with Minx's decision to ignore me, but for the record, if there is ever to be a truce between us, ONE of us will have to be a big enough man or woman to step up and admit that we were wrong. I'm ready to do that-- to step up and admit I'm wrong-- if Minx will show me where I'm wrong. And likewise, if Minx is wrong, I would expect her to be a big enough woman to step up and admit she's wrong if things didn't happen as she said. If one of us admits we're wrong, there's peace between us.
I don't expect that to happen though, so my opinion of her character continues until there is peace between us. I will, however, withdraw from the fray.
And again, my apologies to everybody, and my apologies to Minx for calling her a lying cunt.

What IS it with all of us these days? I mean, I claim my illness, meds and financial ruin (impending eviction, months of work for no wages, walking to and from said work on my sore infested limbs etc), and my general inability to walk away from people being picked on ( you want to get a rise out of me, post a "shedders are cunts thread").
But what of the rest of us who have been acting like arses of late.....what are their excuses?
It's odd, I probably have the rep as one of the worst "keyboard warriors" around here. Yet it's been months since I started an inflammatory thread, LOL>

Commrade, There have been and still are misunderstandings. However I am not going to rehash old and tired arguments. We have both made our points of view very clear several times over.And it hasn't resolved anything.
So I have made an appology it's a few pages back. (Edit: Opps I guess you have seen it as you know I had thought it best to ignore you.)As I only want to put this to rest i thought it best to ignore you until it died a death. But I'm glad to see we can be reasonable and that we can put an end to the matter. Sorry again for all the silliness. Minx

did some shopping watched a dvd and went to bed. I'll head off to work in about an hour. so, i'll be very restricted in my nooling ability today. 
yeh it wasn't that long ago that i only managed to a couple of hours of sleep a night. waking up at 3 am and not being able to get anymore shut eye. I'm not sure what has changed. these days i still wake up three to four times a night, but always manage to get back back to sleep.
