QuickTime Difficulties

I use Firefox as my main browser (and IE very few times) where QuickTime sometimes conflicts with it. A couple of days ago, I uninstalled it with the iTunes, reinstalled them afterwards. Now, I see the QuickTime logo with a question mark on graphics that used to work with QuickTime before. System Restore is a last resort for me. Are there alternatives to solve this problem?

there's a firefox extension that lets you open an internet explorer tab. Usually solves those conflicts once you open media files in there.

I finally fixed it. And not with the Firefox extension, though I downloaded it.
