When I'm cuddling someone special. Or when I am fishing alone. Or when in DEEP cubase mode....I tune the world out and become a part of the machine almost.
In a break with a lifelong tradition I cannot think of any random questions to add yet....later no doubt.
:) beautiful !
I run in the early mornings-in the quiet-I absorb it all(grassy hills & clouds)
Good night !
When I'm ripping apart a computer or other machine in order to fix it, with a boom box blaring some sort of electronic rock noise at full volume
- Or -
Sitting at an airport car park, watching the planes come in at 6am, with a smear of sunlight draping itself on the horizon. ![]()

But we want the League, then SG will be the best.
I haven't known peace and quiet for so long I can't remember what it's like.

DUDE, you work at SEA, don't they let you stare at it?
And I'm not even gonna try to name the song for one of your bank of biggie 40 quid notes.

non geeks simply do not comprehend the zen like sate of bliss one can enter in Deep Hack Mode. I must confess tho, with hardware it only works for me if it's something I feel like doing cos I just do, and not something that I have to fix NOW cos the bugger let me down, that's a lot more sweating and swearing and thumping.
Did you know that, or Google it?
If you knew it, I'm impressed. And yes, you win £40 (I'll speak to Binoshed and have it converted to Shed points for you).
Absolute classic song ![]()
Was watching a comedian on telly a while ago. He said that the person he felt the most sorry for was Sara Lowne's first boyfriend after Bob Dylan.
Dylan wrote some of the finest love songs ever for Sara when he met her (Sara, Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands) and the most tortured work of agonised genius ever when they broke up. Even the TITLE of Blood on the Tracks oozes with the pain and loathing of a bitter separation.
A bunch of flowers is never going to cut it for our Sara, eh?
(This is the random thread? Highwaymen welcome?)

Yeah, knew it - massive Dylan fan... Admit it took a little bit to get the track - that's the problemn with Bob - you can real off lines and lines of lyrics without quite being sure which track... Great track, great album... ![]()

Tell me about the most unpleasant job you've ever done ...?![]()
Having to carry out a survey on by far the filthiest house in the World (and no, i'm not exaggerating). This involved crawling around on the floor, pulling up floorboards, avoiding the rat-sized beetles and spiders and cat pooh dotted about on the shiny carpet.
I went in work with a hangover and to this day i don't know how i stopped myself retching (which was a Godsend considering the tenant was hovering over me the whole time). Amazingly avoided catching fleas, which lots of my colleagues have fallen prey to.
When i'd finished, I got in my car and decided baby wipes weren't enough, I had to shoot home for a quick shower. Ugh, the memory alone is making me itch. :dead:
worked in a Bank once. horrible.
banks are cunts. even when you've been with them for years they still wanna shaft you.
The location of some of our sites makes them somewhat susceptible to seagull poo. I’ve heard some awful stories about men having to deal with it.
Thankfully, I’ve been spared that.
The most unpleasant job I had was on a metal refinery. The gasses that came off the process were treated by bubbling through water, which rapidly turned to acid as it cleaned the air.
Going into the furnace room meant you had to breathe the untreated air – one of the most painful experiences of my life. Wouldn’t go near the place without full breathing apparatus now, but you do daft things when you’re young and nobody else on the site gave a shit. I did two days in there and coughed up blood for a week. Niice!
Most unpleasant so far has been that I worked for a Real Estate company that had an owner who did not have a clue on how to run a business.

Crawling in a stope on Vaal Reefs gold mine, one of the deepest in the world at close to 3000m below surface. The ambient temperature is upwards of 70C, humidity is 100% and the noise from the rock drills will deafen you in ten minutes unless you wear earplugs.
Thing is you've got to be able to hear because at those depths you get rockbursts where stresses in the rocks are so high that they literally explode out of the face in front of you. The only sign that one is coming is when the rock starts 'pinging' and then you crawl as fast as you can until you get to a raise line where you can stand up and run....

mossy wrote: NOOLigan - interesting :) was destruction fun ? (besides yucky mold )
it was fun yes, but also hard work. Nothing beats taking a sledge hammer to a wall.
not that I'm normally destructive.
After a terribly unsuccessful gig in belfast, We were out drinking until 8am, and had to go back and move the sound rig back to the hire shop by 11. I'd been wearing my big ass DM's non stop for 2 days by this stage and the skin had GONE from my feet when I took them off for a brief hour in bed. And so with a WORLD class Hangover I sat with my head out the car window to stop from being ill, while my feet were red raw and screaming agony at me. We got to belfast and the bastard crusties that ran the place didn;t turn up til 1230 [1]...whereupon We had to de-rig the stage and I had to hump ENORMOUS speakers, like 6 ft high down 4 floors worth of stairs, in the self same Dm's I might add. Don't think I moved for a month afterwards and all my mates could do was call me lazy and make fun of me. Bastards.
[1] should have incurred us an extra days rental which would have been great as we'd already basically lost money on the night. But the sound hire guy just said "those crusty cunts do that all the time, I'll put it on their account" LOL.

Since I have never been there, spending a month exploring the great barrier reef with the person I love (atleast once I find that person).

A Conger Eel. Several reasons......
- I fish for them so it would be poetic if I got a hook in my gob and trailed out of the water once in a while.
- they are very lazy creatures
- they are as near to indestructable as you'll find in nature.
- they are exceptionally smart and sneaky bastards
- they spend most of their time in their home, eating things, and occasionally go on big "picnics" with lots of other conger.
