Having to carry out a survey on by far the filthiest house in the World (and no, i'm not exaggerating). This involved crawling around on the floor, pulling up floorboards, avoiding the rat-sized beetles and spiders and cat pooh dotted about on the shiny carpet.

I went in work with a hangover and to this day i don't know how i stopped myself retching (which was a Godsend considering the tenant was hovering over me the whole time). Amazingly avoided catching fleas, which lots of my colleagues have fallen prey to.

When i'd finished, I got in my car and decided baby wipes weren't enough, I had to shoot home for a quick shower. Ugh, the memory alone is making me itch. :dead:

The location of some of our sites makes them somewhat susceptible to seagull poo. I’ve heard some awful stories about men having to deal with it.

Thankfully, I’ve been spared that.

The most unpleasant job I had was on a metal refinery. The gasses that came off the process were treated by bubbling through water, which rapidly turned to acid as it cleaned the air.

Going into the furnace room meant you had to breathe the untreated air – one of the most painful experiences of my life. Wouldn’t go near the place without full breathing apparatus now, but you do daft things when you’re young and nobody else on the site gave a shit. I did two days in there and coughed up blood for a week. Niice!

Most unpleasant so far has been that I worked for a Real Estate company that had an owner who did not have a clue on how to run a business.

Crawling in a stope on Vaal Reefs gold mine, one of the deepest in the world at close to 3000m below surface. The ambient temperature is upwards of 70C, humidity is 100% and the noise from the rock drills will deafen you in ten minutes unless you wear earplugs.

Thing is you've got to be able to hear because at those depths you get rockbursts where stresses in the rocks are so high that they literally explode out of the face in front of you. The only sign that one is coming is when the rock starts 'pinging' and then you crawl as fast as you can until you get to a raise line where you can stand up and run....

After a terribly unsuccessful gig in belfast, We were out drinking until 8am, and had to go back and move the sound rig back to the hire shop by 11. I'd been wearing my big ass DM's non stop for 2 days by this stage and the skin had GONE from my feet when I took them off for a brief hour in bed. And so with a WORLD class Hangover I sat with my head out the car window to stop from being ill, while my feet were red raw and screaming agony at me. We got to belfast and the bastard crusties that ran the place didn;t turn up til 1230 [1]...whereupon We had to de-rig the stage and I had to hump ENORMOUS speakers, like 6 ft high down 4 floors worth of stairs, in the self same Dm's I might add. Don't think I moved for a month afterwards and all my mates could do was call me lazy and make fun of me. Bastards.

[1] should have incurred us an extra days rental which would have been great as we'd already basically lost money on the night. But the sound hire guy just said "those crusty cunts do that all the time, I'll put it on their account" LOL.

What's a Walton's type of girl, Mossy? :confused2:

Aside from that bit of confusion, if the Shed sounds like fun, you'll prolly be quite happy there with NOOL's dullest. :evil4:
