For me, it happened yesterday when I was sat in the gym doing an english language exam, with the sun shining right on my desk for about an hour of the exam.

Also, went to meet some friends after school and the girls I know were all dressed dead summery, so I was just like yeah it's summer :)

I hope it doesn't rain all day now I've made this thread.......

When I was younger, in my college and all that, I felt the same. Now there's no summer or winter for me, it's all one quick day; and the sun is just a disc in the sky.:skeptic:

Well, it's a bit obvious when it is summer in Houston. I know its summer when I feel like stripping down to underneath my skin just to feel "bearable".

Where are all the kids during summer? I used to play outside from sun up til nightfall, and these days you'd be lucky to run over one with your car! Is there something I don't know?

:skeptic:

Summer most of the year here. Wait all year for winter and it takes ages to come... so I don't notice when its warm, only when its cold! Which it is now! Yahoo!

Ever heard of Gameboy? Sad but true, I imagine.

Mamorial Day (last Monday in May) is supposed to be the traditional start of summer around here and it actually worked out that way this year. Lows of around 40°F (5°C) the week before, then nice sunny toasty weather (85°F) by the time Memorial Day rolled around. :)

I recall when I was young and in college, around final exam time the weather got nice and the honeys started wearing provocative clothing. Maybe they still do but I don't notice those things anymore.

It's effin cold here today--well relatively. 66 DEGREES IN *JUNE*!

Summer official began for me last week when it was 90 Degrees (33c) and I was on my way home from work on a bus with the air conditioning busted. That happens at least 10 times over the course of the warm weather season, so it was good to know that it's not changed for this year...

... sure

Yeah, the first time you deeply desire air conditioning is a pretty good indicator that summer is here.

I have never been bothered about air con before now, but having recently moved into an office that is hotter than a greenhouse, i've changed my mind.

My next car will definitely have it too.

It's officially summer here when I can go about in shorts at night without freezing.

We've had >25° C temperatures for the past week, so it's summer. :)

Ha ha,it'd be an interesting slant on the day's weather. "Today there's a slight chill, there's a definite nip in the air..."

See, now I couldn't imagine a house, a car, or an office without A/C...I guess that's just what happens when one is a big fat lazy American...

course...it's already been 100 degrees a couple of days this year...but hey, the forecast is for temps to only get up to 99 for the next several days...

The climate here is somewhat different, i only wish for air con/a fan in my bedroom for about 3 weeks of the year. I'm not complaining though, i can't sleep when it's hot. I'm a typical Brit, wingeing about the cold weather then the minute it goes warm, i complain!

Every day is summer in california, so i don't notice it much except the days are a bit longer and a bit hotter. Plus, it's just another day for me to work and put food on the table.
