Thought this might be worth mentioning here as well as in the Customer Service section:

Just a suggestion...

I received my NOOL 'Movement' shirt, after ordering it XXl (my usual size in UK) forgetting that many Americans are, to put it politely, on the 'Ultra Large' size.

I ended up giving it away to my girlfriend (5'4 3/4") who is now wearing it as a LOOONG SLEEVED nightdress, that reaches to mid-calf... (seriously, if she'd let me, I'd post a pic!)

It may be worthwhile stating that sizes may differ - i.e.

US 'Small' = EU 'Large'

US 'Medium' = EU 'XL'

US 'Large' = EU 'XXL'

US 'XL' = 'EU 'XXXL'

US 'XXL' = EU 'TENT'

US 'XXXL' = EU 'Wedding Marquee'

Well, perhaps not quite, but you see what I mean...

Cheers anyway guys, at least NOOL got a bit more funds

So, it may well be worth enquiring before deciding on the size you order... :nod:

Shite innit? I've had to write off two of the shirts I bought from NOOL as they are massively too big for me now (they were too big when I was 15 stone, now I'm 12 stone they can be worn as tents!).

It would be very helpful if in future the shop could indicate the chest measurement in inches (or centimetres)

S'pose I was just lucky with my original NOOL T-shirt though Tim... I think I'll be wearing that on Saturday, rather than the 'Movement' one :nod:

I thought this thread was going to about something a lot more intimate! And I assume the real reason you won't post that photo is for fear of the effect it might have on Mick's libido, eh Chris??!!

Have you all tried leaving those shirts in the dryer for, say, 24-48 hrs?
Good info to know in case I order a NOOL shirt myself. Especialy as I am only 10 stone.

I wouldn't say it's that extreme. I'm an American male who is 5'6 and 125lbs and a small fits me just fine or occasionally a medium, if it's a jacket. Perhaps a US large equals a EU XL?

Forgive me Chris, but I believe I posted the exact size of the t-shirt in the original thread.. this time we printed the chart to make sure this wouldn't happen...

The problem being that no shirt manufacturer works it out like that - they give chest size in inches, not halve it and leave it up to the individual to try and work out why the system is different!

I'd suggest for the future that rather than a diagram showing the chest across in inches as above, it would be better to put the actual size in inches, i.e. 36, 38, 44 etc. That's the system that the entire world is familiar with! (I know it's not that difficult to multiply the width dimension by two to come up with the figure you need, but this system is not very transparent as evidenced by several people being caught out!)

Actually we got that chart on Gildan's website.

And no, not everybody in the world because I don't know anything about that ;) Always seem S/M/L/XL/XXL, not sizes in inches to be honest ;)

But I admit we have to make it more clear.

If people find their t-shirts to be way too large, WenOrder did order extra shirts to sell in the shop, so if you didn't wear it, I'm pretty sure he could arrange an exchange... if you manage to catch him though, he's pretty busy.

Just put 2 and 2 together and realised where I went wrong - thought the measurements as shown in the diagram were total chest size - mine is 42" so I went for the larger size... D'oh! :\ohwell:

anyhoo...i bought a medium (i think?) and it fits me on the large side. and i'm not a tiny girl! (5'9, not un-well-endowed.) i thought i'd err on the side of caution this time considering the full burqa i bought the first time around.
