With all this Hot weather I thought it appropriate to open ;

THE GREENHOUSE

The Shed has been closed, must be by either POPE, NICOS, JEFF or TIM, and fair play I say. It was not set up for personal digs ( good pun ) at each other, but to put the silly stuff on one thread.

So we now have the Greeenhouse can we all get along please ?

Sheets of empty canvas, untouched sheets of clay Were laid spread out before me as her body once did All five horizons revolved around her soul As the earth to the sun Now the air I tasted and breathed has taken a turn Ooh, and all I taught her was everything Ooh, I know she gave me all that she wore And now my bitter hands chafe beneath the clouds Of what was everything Oh, the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed Everything...

I take a walk outside I'm surrounded by some kids at play I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin round my head I'm spinning, oh, I'm spinning How quick the sun can, drop away And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass Of what was everything All the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything... All the love gone bad turned my world to black Tattooed all I see, all that I am, all I will be...yeah... I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a star In somebody else's sky, but why, why, why Can't it be, can't it be mine?

Hey Ultramega, shouldn't you call yourself Happy Jack? By the way, did you dad name that song after you? Stupid question, maybe, but after all, this is the greenhouse.

I am now guessing that The Greenhouse is where you can spout crap, in response to the need to get rid of too much rubbish on this forum??!!

The idea is to put silly stuff on one thread, daft banter really. Then people who don't wanna read it, can avoid it, much the same way I avoid CURE threads. I thought the Shed worked quite well, however Personal abuse between Noolers has killed it.

Can't we all get along?

Now as Mick ( Chorley Oracle ) has stated now that we are in the Greenhouse, people should not throw stones

and remember,

people who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones :nonono:

Is it My Secret Garden or The Hanging Garden?

Wasn't me who closed the Shed either, though it crossed my mind with all the ranting abuse going on in here yesterday. I figured it's Digital Mike's baby, so he can moderate it when he likes. I just warned them to knock off the stupid other threads attacking one another.

Right, I’ve been quiet in the shed recently mainly because of the amount of shite posted on there but bear in mind this is not aimed at Comrade or Cozmonite only but some of the regulars who post in the shed on daily bases as well. I guess someone had to do it :evil4: Comrade – act your age, no need really for the rest of us to go through 10 pages or so just to find out there’s nothing interesting to read except for you and some other posters bitching over nothing really. Try emails or msn, that way you keep it more private and less boring for the rest of us. The same applies to Ron – stop posting ‘time for bed’ and posts of that kind, the truth is (no matter how cruel it may sound) we don’t really care since we’re all here to read something interesting and funny; if you’re really dying to let others know that it’s time for your bed/work/whatever, please do it on msn or in emails instead. Just cause you’re allowed to post crap in this particular thread it doesn’t mean you can turn it into a private msn chat. Owens- cut down with the silly pictures, you sill sod! Some of us don’t have the broadband and it usually takes forever to open the page. Um, that’s all I can think about at the mo… No offence meant and please try not to reply to this post in order to avoid never ending argument. Feel free to email me if you're having any problems with what I've said on here.

LOL, me broadband died yesterday, got slower and slower and then died. The modem has not been able to connect since, it's as if there is no carrier signal there, but the ISP checked the line and said it was fine. We plugged a borrowed modem direct into the phone jack, but that failed too, so we are now waiting on BT sorting it...yawn. Can only post from work.

PS....the jelly babies are hosted on slightlynarrow.co.uk, hence them being gone.

Saw something horrific this morning and before 9am!! FHM girls podium dancing wearing thong leotards on London Bridge - that isn't the bad bit.

The bad bit was being eye level with bikini line with flesh coloured fabric patches (with crimped edges) over the area - maybe had a waxing accident with.

I've never been to a pole/lap/podium dancing place, but I wonder if this is normal??? Maybe she would get away with it in the dark??!

May have been 'modesty patches' as used by underwear models? I've only known the use of these for covering nipples til now, but maybe it's a variation? :confused2: possibly because too much would show thru the outfit in daylight? Guess they will just airbrush out any crimped edged fabric patches.

Its cold outside And the paints peeling off of my walls Theres a man outside In a long coat, grey hat, smoking a cigarette

Now the light fades out And Im wondering what Im doing in a room like this Theres a knock on the door And just for a second I thought I remembered you

So now Im alone Now I can think for myself About little deals And *issues* And things that I just dont understand Like a white lie that night Or a slight touch at times I dont think it meant anything to you

So I open the door Its the `friend that Id left in the hallway Please sit down A candle lit a shadow on a wall near the bed

You know I hate to ask But, are `friends electric? Mines broke down And now Ive no one to love

So I find out your reason For the phone calls and smiles And it hurts And Im lonely And I should never have tried And I missed you tonight So its time to leave You see this means everything to me

guy is nearing the end of his senior year in high school. Unfortunately, he still has to share a room with his younger brother who is only 9 years old.

One night, he decides to bring his girlfriend home for a little fun. They have bunk beds and the guy notices that his little brother is already asleep on the lower bunk, so he and his girlfriend climb up to the top bunk. As you might expect things start to heat up.

The guy remembers that his little brother is sleeping below so he tells his girlfriend to whisper "lettuce" if she wants it harder and "tomato" if she wants a new position.

Lettuce!!!

Tomato!!

Lettuce!!!

Tomato!!!

Lettuce!!!

Tomato!!!

She screams

Lettuce!!!

Tomato!!!

Whoa!!!

PULL IT OUT!!!

PULL IT OUT NOW!!!

I can't get pregnant!

Then the little brother shouts up, "Hey, would you guys stop making sandwiches up there! You're getting mayonnaise all over my face!*!*!*!*!

A woman's vegetable garden is growing like mad, but the darn tomatoes won't ripen. There's a limit to the number of uses for green tomatoes and she's getting pretty tired of it.

So she walks over to her neighbor's and asks, "Your tomatoes are always red, while mine are always green. How do you do it?"

He replies, "Well, this may sound absurd, but here's what you do. After dark, go out into your garden and take off all your clothes. When the tomatoes see you they'll get embarrassed and blush. Tomorrow they'll all be red, you'll see."

Well, what the heck, she figures. So she does it.

The next day her neighbor asks her how it went.

"So-so," she said, "The tomatoes are still green, but you should see the size of my cucumbers now ."

A married woman was becoming frustrated with her husband's insistence that they always have sex in the dark. Hoping to free him of his inhibitions, during one passionate evening, she flipped on the lamp-- only to discover a cucumber in his hand.

"Is THIS what you've been using on me for the past five years!?!"

"Honey, let me explain!"

"Why you impotent louse!" she screamed. "You sneaky son of a prick!"

"Speaking of sneaky..." he interrupted, "would you care to explain our three kids?"

Awesome! :thumb: I went to college in Buffalo and lived there for several years (working in a restaurant! :( ) after I graduated. Buffalo is where I discovered New Order, so I owe the Queen City a great debt of gratitude. Unfortunately, most of my best Buffalo friends have moved elsewhere, so I don't have much of an excuse to visit these days. I was always curious how many Buffalo/Rochester NOOLers are out there. Not many from what I can tell. I also wonder if any of my former Buffalo mates are on this site! No good way to search for a specific person or city on this site, though.

well its true that buffalo's population has been reduced in half over the past 30 yrs. I visit still as much of my family still lives there. Its depressing as nothing has change since the 10 yrs.,since i've last live there. Unfortunately, its a dying city and nothing seems to get better.

No, that was the SHED.

Anyway, i've got a question for you. Someone in Scouseland was telling me that on your profile you list your occupation as "Author," I checked this myself. So what works have you published? Anything in the pipeline? And what do you actually write? And what does "Author (Belfast)" mean?

Why thank you for noticing. It's nice to see that people talk about me even when I'm not about.

I admit that I have not got any work published, and that I have only recently classed myself as an author. I have completed a book of short stories and poems, and am currently in the process of looking for a publisher.

Uncle Liam wrote: And what does "Author (Belfast)" mean?

Must have been a typo.

I hardly think asking a genuine question is picking fights, I found it rather interesting to know what Chris is doing, as the last time I noticed, he had just given up at crappy WHSmiths.

Reading the last few posts has given me a thought, I'm not very good at being confrontational. I always give people the benefit of the doubt, thinking if they do write or spout angry bo**ocks, they're are obviously a bit wound up or messed up.

Maybe I am missing something by being non aggressive. I suppose as long as I'm not supressing anything it doesn't matter?!

All you need know is that Ron and Comrade had a big swedge over cyberlove and such other nonsenses. Combined age of 88 and acting like a pair of twelve year olds. Something to do with Cozmonite's honour. Frightening. They are all on a yellow card. Someone else closed the Shed before the "Bastards" message though.

DICKINSON AIRLIFTS BEIRUT EVACUEES

IRON MAIDEN singer and qualified pilot BRUCE DICKINSON airlifted 200 British citizens who had fled war torn Beirut, Lebanon back to the UK yesterday (20JUL06). The 47-year-old flew a Boeing 757 to Cyprus where he picked up the evacuees and flew them back to London's Gatwick Airport. A colleague says, "He was only too keen to get involved and help. "He has a strong interest in the welfare of people caught up in international conflicts and cares about what is going on."

Bollocks. It had nothing to do with cyberlove.

Frightening. They are all on a yellow card.

Again, bollocks. You left one of the main contenders off the yellow card. Two if you count your own contributions to peace in the forums.

Someone else closed the Shed before the "Bastards" message though.

At last the truth.

I took the X-Men quiz. Cool stuff. I'm the Beast. LOL

You scored as Beast. Beast is an intelligent, politcal spokesman for the X-Men. He has a Ph.D in Genetics and is well versed in literature. He may look like a blue fuzzy monster, but deep down he's very benevolent and logical. Powers: Enhanced strength and agility

beast is indeed cool

but not as cool as wolverine :nono: :shades:

Was a tie-breaker with Cyclops but..

You scored as Iceman. Iceman is a very powerful but volitile X-man. His ego and reluctance to follow orders means that he often clashes with Cyclops. Despite being immature sometimes, he's very popular with the ladies and is an extremely powerful X-Man. Powers: Can lower the temperature in areas around him. Basically, he has a near limitless ability to freeze things and make massive amounts of ice

I'll take that one

Wolverine is my favorite too, but I guess I would've had to lie to score as him. I do think I'm like him in some ways, like being a loner at heart. I could have answered some of those questions could've gone a bit differently, though. I think Wolverine was scored 3rd for me behind Cyclops, who actually used to bye my favorite X-Man till I switched to Wolverine. I hope they do a good job on the Wolverine movie!
