Paris Hilton says she's going celibate and says she feels that she understands and feels like Princess Diana.

Is it just more that just an improper comparision? Seems Hilton's paparazzi problem is of her own design. Not so sure that it was the same for Princess Diana.

I was going to say much the same.
There's a lot of bollocks spoken about Princess Diana, mainly by the same people who had very bad things to say about her when she was alive. People openly laughed at her rediculous performance on the Bashir interview, it was pathetic.
And she had a big nose

Hilton is HONEST about her motivation - doesn't spend much time pretending that she's out for anyone else apart from herself.
And she makes her own money to prance about with - Diana pranced around the world making a dick out of herself on UK tax money.
She got hers in the end though. Nobody has ever died whilst in the protection of the UK Special Branch. So she sent them home and let some pissed-up hired thug look after her.

which is why i relate to both of them.
Only comparison i can see, is that Princess Di campaigned about land mines; Paris Hilton needs to step on one.
I'm willing to give Di a break because she at least used her position to highlight some worthwhile causes (AIDS in Africa, land mines, etc) 
Paris uses her position to highlight how much "thru traffic" comes between her legs

I don't know about admiration. I'm an American and I could care less about the Royal family. Anyway, over here, Paris Hilton is famous just for having money. She doesn't do anything money can't buy - yes, she's appeared in films but did she have to audition? - and is all over the media. Actually, she's just a rich girl who was in a few cheap pornos. Now, if I decided to declare celibacy, it obviously wouldn't be in the media, mostly for the fact that Paris Hilton's dog has more money than I do. But, yet, people actually care about her and other talentless rich girls girls like her co-star on the Simple Life, Nicole Richie.
It's been my experience that most men don't care much about the royal family one way or the other, but a lot of women do, and in particular I've known plenty of women who admired Lady Di. I don't quite know why, mayby she was a modern day Jackie O. ?
