While using the Pandora link that was provided to us today, I realised that in my favorite tracks of the current moment, there are 3 songs called "Run"... one obviously from New Order.. but also Snow Patrol and Collective Soul.

3 excellent songs IMHO.

Can anybody top 3 good songs with the same name?

Depeche Mode and the Goo Goo Dolls both have songs called Strangelove, but the latter's song really sucks.

I suppose this doesn't include covers. Would be cheating.

I like two songs by the name of "Surrender"---one is by Depeche Mode, and the other is by a group named Lasgo. I also like "Young Offender" by New Order, and "Young Offender" by the Pet Shop Boys.

Stockholm Syndrome by Muse, Blink 182 and Yo La Tengo (ok, I only like two of those  )

Mysterious Ways by John Foxx, U2 and...won't say Julia Fordham

These Days by Johnny Clegg, REM and You Know Who.

Blue Light by Mazzy Star, Bloc Party and Frank Zappa.

Spirit by Bauhaus, Dead Can Dance and, er, Bryan Adams.

For a variation on a theme, three others that are on my Ipod's 'most played are: 1959 (Sisters of Mercy) 1963 (NO) 1979 (Smashing Pumpkins)

Isn't there a song called Surrender by The Chem. Bros? Or is that just the name of the album and not the title track?

I think it's the album name, but I don't really listen to the Chemical Brothers, so I'm not really sure.:read:

It's the next-to-last track on the album (I have it so I should know)

It's also the same name as a song by Cheap Trick which is bizarre and should best be approached as a curious relic of the late Seventies drug culture, if you even try to decipher some of the lyrics your head will :explode:

if you stick the song title "crazy" in on www.allmusic.com it shows 933 occurences of the song! now there are a lot of repeats of the song being featured on more than one album by the same band, but that's still a hell of a lot... was going to suggest that & angel as two very popular songtitles, angel only has 912 appearances.

So which do you all prefer of Joy Divison or Russ Abbot's "Atmosphere"? Its a close call, no?

It seems to be the "in" thing to have an album called "Greatest Hits"...

:brow:

Hurt.....from the Order, NIN/J. Cash, and maybe Any Trouble, if one drops the "The" from the front.

That or "Best of", often when a band doesn't necessarily have any "greatest hits" to speak of (like Foghat) :evil4:

Anyone remember the video? The club doorman stops him as if to say "Not tonight" and Russ just gives him the bicycle clips off his trousers! Pure class!
