Can we get back on topic please People!

Have just seen that Hertha Berlin play Frankfurt the day before the gig. How do I go about getting a ticket to this?

Have you already booked your flight, Liam?

What company are you flying with?

If she ran a comb through her hair and put a pretty frock on, she'd make someone a lovely wife.

Sorry to drag this away from the topic, but we got out tickets for Pipettes on Monday. Will see you there, Liam: a much better bet than Steven Patrick Miseryguts in Berlin I rate!

After all, they're the prettiest girls you've ever met....

Ask on a New Order website, obviously. :eek3:

I'm off to Eintracht Frankfurt's website to see if anyone there knows when my New Order tickets will arrive.

I'm going the 24hr hour garage in a bit to get some cigs.

Maybe I should start a thread asking if there is anything to see and do on the way????

I wont though, coz there is fuck all to see and do on the way.

Unless I get my cock out.

My housemate wants to get a video of me spitting on Karl marx street. Obviously, I am more than happy to oblige.

So, apart from the Brandenburg Gate, The Berlin Wall (whats left of it) and Bismarcks grave, does anyone else have any suggestions for what suitably right wing landmarks to pay a visit to?

What's right wing about the Berlin Wall? Complete opposite, surely?

There's always the Reichstag though?

Not entirely convinvced that spitting on Karl Marx street is a political act of any worth though, Li?

Still, you crazy stowdents.

Well, the ruins of the Berlin Wall signal more than anything else the triumph of the West in the Cold War.

The Tiergarten is really good & the other side of the Brandenburg Gate is the Unter den Linden (a major street in the old East Berlin). The Deutsche Historisches Museum is on there on the left hand side. A great place for all that German Nazi/Cold War/DDR history.

Some great clubs & bars in the area above Friedrichstrasse Station. Oh and the Olympic Stadium is wunderbar, so taking in a Hertha game is a great idea.

Indeed, a triumph for democracy, but not necessarily for 'the right'.

Well it was. Look who was running the show at the time, Thatcher, Bush, Kohl... hardly a collection of people likely to worship the works of Marx and Engels now, is it?

Met Liam at the Pipettes gig in Manchester yesterday. He was wearing a Cure t-shirt. He even mentioned in an offhand way that said Goffs were (and I quote) "better than New Order".

Surely this can only undermine his political "integrity" even more, no??

Well, it's nice that you've looked it up in the history books.

But I was 20/21 at the time. Was it 88 or 89? I forget. And don't remember any rabid right-wingers taking responsibility for the destruction of a the wall. Everyone was pleased to see it go. Regardless of political persuasion.

True. We all know it was down to the Hoff really.
