Santorum's concession speech is on television now. His oldest son is behind him crying.

FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH!!!!!

It seemed unbelievable a year ago.

I can actually be proud of how Pennsylvania did today.

Hey on what side are you here Ronald??

The good guys are winning...Mass and Ohio have Dem governors now (though I'm sure the sore-losing GOP will contest those) :jump:

Still looks like SC will stay in the red column, though :nonono: (so far the Dems are putting up a fight, but the Reps have the edge). And the no-gay-marriage amendment is pretty heavily voted for, at least I don't have that on my conscience

Well, to be fair there can be such a thing as a "good guy Republican", but lately they've all been lapdogs for the Bush-Rove Agenda and come off more like unformed sperm residue than anything resembling actual humans with a spine and an ability to think for themselves :evil4:

So for this year, at least, they're the Evil Empire (cue Darth Vader's theme)...

I'm unaffiliated, so I can be rooting for the good guys or be a jinx... :uhoh:

Dan Savage got the young people against Santorum. They were basically voting against anal sex--or for anal sex depending on whether or not they enjoyed the Santorum that dripped out

There's a difference between being a sore loser and being a victim of the Santorum method :D

But quite deserving, considering the total LACK of compassion and understanding Santorum has stood for.

12 years of vicious partisan warfare from the Republican party, and now they want compassion and understanding?

You are so right. How did the shrinking violets in the Democrat party ever survive?

So, you really don't believe in any of that compassion, tolerance and understanding bullcrap? It's good to know. Secular progressiveness at it's finest.

reap what you sow. even if it has taken 12 years.

That's certainly a relief. Something right finally happened in PA.

What's so funny about his kid crying? I don't agree with Santorum's politics, but I don't see why you have to pick on the son...

How old is his son?

Yes, you're right, his son is young. I had assumed he was an adult.

Bad Comrade! :nono:

Looks like the eldest one is 13, according to Wikipedia... Shame on you people!

I don't care how old the kid is. Even though they may or may not have supported their parent(s) in their political stand, what do the candidate's kids deserve? Criticism, I think not. They're not the ones running in the first place.

Forget about us teasing the lad...think what his schoolmates will do to him the next day he's in class (kids are vicious at that age) :nonono:

It'll build character, though :D

Well, let's compare:

The insensitive ramblings of anonymous internet folks on a site that I doubt he would ever visit unless he has great taste in music, who are directing their bile more at his father for his loss of a governmental position after being the spearhead for a lot of what is wrong in the national debate, or...

The in-his-face taunting of fellow thirteen-year-olds who will attack him directly for "crying like a girl" on TV and won't let up because that's not what kids do. They pounce on any exposed wound like that until the gangrene sets in and the kid is a maladjusted asshole who might have turned out normal if not subjected to such scrutiny by the television cameras which inadvertantly contribute to whatever his classmates decide to do to him.

Yeah, I think I can sleep easy tonight

The kid represents the spawn of a bigoted gay-bashing politico who would deny the same legal familial rights of marriage/children to queers of all colors just because he read it out of a bullshit book called the bible. Therefore, I like the humiliation of the kid who symbolizes the inverse "norm" by which his father's discriminatory agenda has been removed from office one person at a time.

all you kid-sympathizers can fuck off
