I had a Caipirinha tonight.
It turns out one of the bars I frequent actually has cachaça on their shelf. It's got a 51 on the label if that means anything to you Brazilians. They told me they never use it. Anyway, I explained in detail how to make a Caipirinha (and tipped her well for the trouble)...
and for a little while I was back in Sao Paulo. 
It just wasn't the same, though. For one it was too cold out. And it cost a hell of a lot more than it did in Brazil. And I'm not on vacation.
But it worked. :D
