Although he wasn't technically a member of the site then (and hasn't posted on here in years) he was the first New Order fan I'd spoken to online then met in the flesh. Top bloke, gave me a sofa for the night between the Barrowlands 2 nighter
Bit unfair to select just a NOOLer as there were many other places to chat about the band on the net in them days with the Ceremony mailing list and a few other New Order sites being regularly updated. There was life before NOOL as Spotto will testify ;)
First person I met (also in Glasgow 01) who regularly uses this site would have been some author bloke called Al Jarvis, don't think he uses this place or follows the band much anymore!
Liv who posted sporadically for a couple of years in the early days, we travelled down to London to meet up with Tim for the very fist NOOL piss up. Since then I've met just about everyone from these shores who post here. It's always a pleasure, unless of course it's a piss up in Chorley, I'm still scarred from that weekend

Purely through this website? Not sure. I remember meeting the Hibster at Brixton Academy 2001 (had already met Dave before in Liverpool) and him introducing me to Liv. And I wasn't sure if she was Liv, or April, cos they were the two uber female posters at the time.. . (and I didn't realise April was a Yank).
EDIT: Just read Ally's comment - met him and Glas Vegas via FourFortyFive in Glasgee (yes, Graham, that's Glasgee) just prior to the Brixton gig above.

Nah. ACR was in April. Mozzer in May that year.
Probably quite a few people between 1981 and 1989, without knowing it. Think it was possibly Shug, closely followed by Liv, at the inaugural NOOL pissup in London on Shug's birthday in early 2002.

GAT - Digi Mike outside Broadway tube station? - for Hammersmith Palais gig in 85. He had just come from South Africa and met up with me and Ren. ACR was support....long time ago and tons of gigs have been shared since.
Mick and Mike were the first to come up to me when I was miserable at the meetup in Liverpool. They are now my favorite people because of that!

Funnily enough, I live in the 'heart' of Europe, where so many NEWorder fans are and the British Islands are not too far away, I had to meet an 'Aussie' favourite NOOLer firstly.
Secondly I introduced myself to the honourable webmaster.

Ness,Big Clive and One brain at NOOL day this year. Met a lot of others noolers but I was kind of shy so did not talk so much to them...it was a pleasure to meet you all.

There was another time I was supposed to meet David afew months before that, he was over for the Peter Saville Exhibition at the Design Museum, but he got delayed massively and I think he may have met you later that day, quite why we couldn't have all met at the same time I'll never know. First time I met you was with David at the pub pre Hyde Park. I was very hot and bothered, the heat was killing me and I wasn't feeling 100%.
The first Turnmills was definitely before Peely passed away, as i didn't attend, i don't know what happened inside.
I was in WGC last weekend.
Does someone from Brazil count? If it does, then it is Luis Sobrinho.
The first NOOLer from another country that I met was Al Jarvis, just before an Interpol gig in April 2005. I also met Alex, Mark Rutter and Clive Williams that day.

Yeah, I was at the Design Museum a couple of times - for at least one of the Saville talk's/signing sessions, and the pre/post pub sessions (that *could* have been where I first met most NOOL'ers?)... I still never got to go round the exhibition at the time, despite the fact that I used to work in London Bridge at the time!

First one i met was a lad from Nottingham in the Audley before the Hyde park gig,June 2005.Can't remember his name though.Don't think he posts here now.Second one i met was Shug who sorted me out with a ticket for that gig.
